Besides, those various bright colored envelopes are fun for the kids to play with while you sit in the corner wrapped around a bottle of MD20/20 wishing you could still afford Jim Beam. /s

I’m going to be that guy and complain about grammar on the Internet.

My daughter still says tomahto instead of tomayto. I blame Peppa Pig. Not that I mind my daughter having a slight accent.

Your assessment its quite misinformed. This new gen of AMD does in fact have an IPC lead and uses quite a bit less power when used in an x470 mobo (x570 has some issues in that regard). The downside is that overclocking has not shown AMD to be able to match Intel yet...There are a myriad of youtube reviews that will

You’re delusional, sorry. Intel is still struggling big time and will continue for quite a few iterations. Also, did you ignore the TDP of AMD’s offerings vs. intel’s current? AMD’s are far more efficient.

These CPUs match or beat Intel in single thread in many popular tests. Your scores are also lower than most. Were you running extremely slow memory? Ryzen 3rd Gen supports DDR4-3200 by default.

So you missed the part that said these use less power and produce less heat than Intel?

Please note that the benchmark is meaningless without memory speeds being stated. Ryzen is heavily dependent on fast memory. Given adequate memory speed and up-to-date firmware and OS versions etc., the 3900X and 9900K are closely matched in single-core performance.

While the cooler included with the Ryzen 9 3900X is a bit loud and you don’t like how it mounts, it’s important to note that the Intel i9 doesn’t come with a cooler at all.

Comparing the CPUs out today, AMD runs cooler and uses less power. There is always something better around the corner though and nobody will stop you from always waiting “just another 5 months”

I’ll summarize what is important from places that actually did proper reviews on the chip: basically, Intel beats AMD in single core performance by 2-4% which favors it in gaming ever so slightly but AMD trounces them in basically every other test because of the higher core count. 3900x vs. 9900 is same price, 3700x

Geekbench???   Why not Cinebench instead....

Quick question: why is literally nobody talking about the updated Ryzen 5 3600X? Is it just because it’s not the fancy 8 or 12 core version? If I understand AMD’s product lines those 6-core versions should run identically on a core-to-core basis, right? At $250 that’s a hell of a deal.

Not a stupid question. The simple answer is no. It would take a whole lot of devices charging off the same outlet for it to have any effect like that.

If this comment gets five stars I’ll ban the person above

It’s your brother? Just whack him with the grill tongs and then punch him in the throat. He’ll learn.

Sounds like PETA complaninig about hitting flies

Screw that nonsense.   Smoking a rack of ribs on my Traeger is the best.....

Well if it had the unlabeled bottle in the red Kewpie bag it’s the Japanese market version. The US version apparently looks like this:

I was excited when I heard about it. But it seems like they’re trying to fill the demand for Japanese mayo by providing a Japanese version of American Mayo.
