Did you see Tua’s postgame interview? Like Barry explained, he saw cover 2 immediately, knew that if he could get the safety to bite to the right just a little bit he’d have Smith 1 on 1 to the outside, and did exactly that. Really, a remarkable play.

The team deserves the majority of credit but Saban deserves kudos to make that decision to put the true freshman in starting the 2nd half. How many coaches would do that? Not many.....

Agreed. It’s 2nd and a mile. Every bit of the field is viable. Their RB is gaining confidence with every carry, and the QB himself has hurt you running more than once. Bama had a ton of options to get it to 3rd and manageable, especially since they had to go for it on 4th down anyway. I can’t knock the play call.

Let’s get this out of the way: I hate Alabama as much as a moderately passionate sports fan can.

THIS. That safety won’t ever live that play down. He needed to be about 7 yards to his right at the snap. You don’t start AT THE HASH when the offense is AT THE HASH in 2. That’s just horrible. And, yes, there should have been a bump inside, but not getting over in time is all 24's fault.

I don’t know that Cover-2 is inexcusable there. It’s only second down, it is reasonable to expect Alabama to try to get some of the 26 back so they have a more makeable third down, or if they even pick up 15 or 20 of the yards on two tries they can kick a field goal and go to the next OT. Taking away 10 yard plays is

Looks like Saban’s trying to explain to the cop that he’s not that drunk.

Crushing Georgia’s hopes and dreams is old hat to the Russians.

Thank you!

Not really, because this extends beyond the three SEC teams

Here’s your GIF...

The real winner is the photographer who got plowed in the end zone.

This is a controversial, yet incorrect take.

You’re the one responding to my comment, and I wouldn’t have been annoyed if UCF got into the playoff, especially if they move to an 8 team field. I’m laughing at the gloriously butt hurt and furious responses

Well, I mean, no shit!

How did the refs screw that one up? I wanted Georgia to win (neutral fan) but I blame that on the bad interception off the d-linemen’s helmet turning momentum around and Georgia just generally being unable to close.

Save it for someone who cares

Yea I’m totally convinced UCF would have been able to hang with these teams! Undefeated!
