Actually, most people miss the best secret of leasing, simply because they are stuck on a specific vehicle or set of options. If you are smart about it, leasing is incredibly powerful. Basically find cars with extremely high residual values, almost 0 money factors and strong rebates/negotiable prices.

I agree completely. Like any other financial decision, money = Risk over time. Each aspect should be contemplated and if it makes sense for you, after considering your options with eyes open, than it is the right decision. I did the same thing, I needed a very reliable car that got good gas mileage and was tight

And which loan will you not be upside down the moment you drive off of the lot? Besides, that wasn’t the point - an STi can easily cost $35-40k, and with zero down, buying it is around $700, leasing it at just under $500 is not really unexpected, especially with potentially crappy credit and high money factor. Not

You’re confusing included maintenance with a warranty.

Call me Kia, and call corny jokes a C-segment car, cuz they’re my Forte.

Almost nauseatingly poor puns aside, I agree Hyundai has been banging on all cylindars with their designs and workmanship lately.

Replace Nissan with BMW.

lol Doug, you’re so out of touch. Sorority girls drive CLAs now.

You should do the tune, but you can always talk to your dealer service guys first. Some dealers are more ‘accepting’ than others for these tunes, so your mile may vary. With this tunes and a good set of tires, I think its a no brainier to go with ‘ze German.

I personally would probably go for the Golf. It feels waaaaay faster. The Mazda3 is a little sharper in the corners, but the Golf gets really close and is a lot more comfortable driving every day. The ride on the Mazda is a little stiff if you have to deal with any crappy roads, and the road noise is annoyingly high,

I would have to give it to the Mazda 3 in this case, the Golf 1.8 I just drove was a little softer and crisp but not snappy like the Mazda 3. But hell great choices.

Fiat 500 Abarth. I know MSRP says 23k, but you can find them brand new for much less.

Juke R Nismo. That would be the offspring of a golfcart and a frog merging in the large hadron collider with a R35 GTR.

Sorry, I don’t understand. Mag ride, V8, RWD, 4 doors, manual.

I see one every morning in my driveway.

the check engine light was a way of life. It came on for everything. The oxygen sensors. The gas cap. If it was raining. To remind you about endangered animals. When you were singing. When you were driving on dirt. When you had forgotten your grocery list.

If your country is America then YES

5 minutes of frustrated grunting followed by an hour of crying?

All the haters can f*ck off. This is a gorgeous car. It may have a lot of “borrowed” styling cues, but I think it does a fantastic job of putting them all together.

That’s the most reductionist simplistic thing I have ever read. Cars break for more reasons than the 4 stipulated ones you have there bro. “There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy” :)
