OK a lot of Jalopnik's will sneer at this one but these are way better cars than people think. A downside for many Jalopnik types is, sorry, it's as reliable as the sun and will easily hit 300k+ miles. Add a strut tower brace in front and BOOM! Great car.

By going with FWD, I'm not even sure they are going to win magazine performance comparos against the Golf R, Focus RS, and STI. Price seems more likely closer to those cars than the GTI/WRX/Focus ST tier.
