oh man, sorry to hear that. Hope it’s not widespread. The only weird behavior I get out of my 3 is the shift into drive from reverse is a little slow, and upshifting lags a bit around the redline in manual mode.

Have to say, even though the manual will probably be a no go, Mazda has great automatic transmissions (at least the skyactiv one, and you know they’ll make this wagon with the 2.5 NA)

Don’t understand how he lost his shot. That’s usually the last thing that goes... Guess he relied completely on lift on his shot and it’s gone now. Can’t say he didn’t get his money’s worth out of his athleticism though.

yeah you’re missing out, great little car, just throws itself into corners

Yeah the Japanese Cadillac doesn’t sell too bad

You guys actually like the revised front end? I think it looks like a Mitosuoki Orochi that finger banged a deer that then was about to get hit on a winding road by a Miata, and the Miata fused with the deer, forever transfering its “deer in headlights” facial expression onto its front end.

Literally the only nice

So Infiniti tried this whole “Japanese BMW” thing and clearly it didn’t work for them, but it wasn’t because of their strategy, it was because of the unrefined execution of their cars. I loved driving the G37 but hated taking road trips in it because the road noise was absurd (for a car of its class). Now I love

underpowered?

This is like the Suzuki Cappuccino that decided it’s not just going to crumple up and cry during a rollover, so it put a nice little roof over it’s head.

so are not doing the phrasing thing anymore, or.....?

HAHA I was thinking the same thing, Mr. Regular reviewing a TDI and going: “ Jetta TDI. The official car of “I would’ve gotten away with it too if it weren’t for you pesky kids!”

Right?

And here I was thinking “Mazda can’t get their diesel US compliant and VW has been doing it for years with a lot of torque and no urea.”

I just chalked it up to “Those damn Germans and their engineering.”

Guess it was lies all along.

Does it work well?

Never understood why Japanese automakers don’t work with Japanese tech companies like Sony on the infotainment systems... Wouldn’t that be great for their economy, easier to deal with (because no language barrier), and potentially have great results?

671k !?

Bentayga. He’s so hot right now. Bentayga.

I can answer that as well. My girlfriend also has a 2010 Tuscon AWD. Not sure what engine. Driving it is a complete and utter snoozefest and its extremely softly sprung but all the passengers complement it all the time, so I guess the backseat experience is great. Mechanically, it’s just been wear items like brakes

You would probably have to order a base model ; 2 door with a manual and destination is right under 19 before haggling

so which one would you rather autocross and drive on twisty roads? Also keep in mind the Mazda would be a Touring with literally every option under the sun (except for wheels that don’t look like a part of an exhibition on tilt-shift photography MY GOD THOSE WHEELS ARE DINKY) and the Golf would be a stripper at about
