You would probably have to order a base model ; 2 door with a manual and destination is right under 19 before haggling

so which one would you rather autocross and drive on twisty roads? Also keep in mind the Mazda would be a Touring with literally every option under the sun (except for wheels that don’t look like a part of an exhibition on tilt-shift photography MY GOD THOSE WHEELS ARE DINKY) and the Golf would be a stripper at about…
haha i doubt torque steer is an issue on the 2.0, maybe the old MSP3
ooooohh tell me more
Mazda 3 vs Golf 2 door 1.8? Literally all I care about is enjoyment and handling.
Holy Bejesus the newcomers are bringing the heat. Between this and the new Jag XE-S, BMW and Audi (moreso BMW than Audi because I’m guessing the next A4 is right on the verge of finishing up development and will probably be incredible) are going to be doing a lot of this :
Ocean Parkway is just not a good road for the cars of the 21st century. The lanes are too narrow for cars nowadays, and the rightmost lane (whichever way you are facing) is pothole infested, meaning it’s basically useless and people without spatial awareness in large cars make it real risky to stay in that lane...
“We felt 4-6-8 was a more logical progression for customers as they look for the balance of performance and efficiency that fits their needs.”
So did Cadillac in 1981 :)
-Also would like to note that MAGNETIC RIDE CONTROL ALL THE THINGS. seriously this is such a massive step forward for suspension that is finally making…
How is the drive? I drove an auto, and while I didn’t push it (this was around the block a couple of times, it was right after Hurricane Sandy so there was a car shortage and a gas shortage) it didn’t feel like it was capable of invoking emotions. In terms of fit and finish and NVH it was great, though.
off topic but opinion on the TL? I’ve seen them with some tasteful modifications and they look absolutely amazing
That’s probably the prettiest 964 I’ve ever seen
You’re over there calling it a “middle management machine” and I’m over here thinking “this is the best looking piece of metal Acura has put out in the last 15 years”
Probably spent over 100 hours on this game... started when I was 13 in '07 and it basically taught me car physics
you know, the people that ask for “purity” in a car but won’t buy the 4C because “workout” and Miata bc “underpowered,” and end up being Jalopnik stars driving 1992 Toyota Camry wagons with automatics because “they don’t make them overbuilt like they used to. this is basically a lexus. this will outlast cockroaches. I…
Refer to Evo’s F1 vs P1 test for a sneak peek into exactly what will be said of your comparison
Would you say that this car encourages driver development moreso than the others? It seems like you’re saying the best way to extract more out of this car is to better your technique rather than to better the way you deal with the car’s quirks.
I think I speak for the greater public when I say: HI-RES JPEGS OF ALL OF THE ABOVE, NOW
my wall is barren and it is all your fault
Where did I say it was better than the competition? I simply just said that just because it is not as good as the German competition does not mean its existence is invalidated.
I don’t really like half-assing things. If I want a track tool to develop myself as a driver, I’m choosing a balanced chassis and only upgrading it as my skills advance. If I want something for the track and to take me to work for $70k, I’m not buying a glorified overpowered luxobarge with 2 doors chopped off, I’m…
