Yeah I was really excited about the car until I sat in the backseat and realized that the second your kids hit puberty you're looking at a new car purchase because that thing has less space in the back than a Corolla.

Nobody was claiming the G37 was ever better than the 335i. The whole point of this discussion was that it's 95% of the car with 5% of the headaches for 80% of the price, which is a good enough value proposition for most car buyers.
Also if you've ever driven a G37 extensively, not just as a rental upgrade, you would…
I think the wheels let it down.
That said, at least it looks cleaner than that damn blowfish on 315's, the X5.
And the interior looks amazing, which is where you'll be spending 99% of your time with the car.
I think what happened was he thought he was playing cat and mouse but the mice were being commandeered by realtors drinking lattes and fixing their hair ( read: slow)
I wholeheartedly agree; I think we're on the road to much easier repairs. No more playing with chokes in your carburetor, just replace the fuel injectors. Turbo doesnt work ? Replace it. Hybrid drive system doesnt work? Chances are you swap a part. The digital age can also be a beautiful thing if we embrace it.
If I collected high end art, I would skip the Matisse and bring this puppy home with me.
After seeing that wagon concept, something tells me this is about to be the most elegant car in its class.
hope they make BMW and Mercedes look foolish for putting out cars that look like they're too muscular for the frame they're built on (ungainly). I swear I see some of these X5's and 5 series around and they just…
Yup, wish it was a manual. Fun in the snow, though :)
Yup, happy with my 8th Gen Accord as well.
YEAH BUT THIS THING IS 'MERICAN, NOT THOSE DAMN IMPORTS
that argument is good for at least 50K sales a year in this country.
And I agree on the 7AT, it felt jerky and nervous to me in the G37X, can't imagine it being much better in the Q50S. S4 hands down over the Q50.
Yeah, I would say that until Infiniti stops sharing their power trains with Nissan, they can't really compete with the Germans. The VQ was great when the original G35 came out, but we're in another generation now, and there is only so much you can do with an NA V6.
The S4 would be my choice if I had about 55k as well,…
A lot of you are so out of touch with reality it hurts. 95 % of buyers don't give a #*@! about the "Autotragic" transmission, especially when this is primarily a commuter car that is comfortable, economical, affordable, and quiet. The transmission is apparently quite good (according to Autoblog, which loved the new 8…
Gotcha, good choice. Can't go wrong with the Audi
Is it just me or does this thing look AWESOME for a midsize family sedan? I saw this thing in the flesh and the upper trim levels just have PRESENCE, something everything in the segment except the Fusion and the Mazda 6 don't have.
The fact that it's not great at being a car doesn't really matter much in this segment,…
What did you think of the Q50S? I think right now all of the cars in the class are just drop dead gorgeous and perform so well that unless you go to the track you won't see a difference. But something about the Q50S calls to me...
(apart from the harsh ride, which can apparently be remedied via non-runflat tires)
I think that's the radar system for the cruise control. I agree, it looks awkward on every model I've seen.
^ What he said 100%
It didn't really have an identity at all, nor did it do much to stand out in any category. Would probably have taken ANY of it's competitors over it, and DID (G37x)
But if the Diesel comes to America I might forgo this .... hehe <2500 pounds and 184 lb-ft of torque sounds like a blast and a half at every single stoplight, ever.
