Seems lots of manufacturers plan to introduce diesels into the US market in a couple of years or so, but production of diesel fuel is limited due to refineries. Since there aren't plans for new oil refineries to be built in this country, is bio-diesel going to pick up the slack? If so, that could keep diesel prices

I'd like to see her beat the pants off Danica Patrick...or any article of clothing really.

You can get some pretty good deals on Champ Car attire at places like [speedgear.com] these days. Don't know if it's THE thing to wear or not, but I always like wearing shirts from places/things that are defunct. I think it all started when I bought a "Levi's USA Olympics 1980" sweatshirt about a week before we

You know, the only thing missing from that Max Mosley video was Bob Crane.

I also keep a log book of gas fill-ups and repairs, and have done so since my first new car back in '84. The sad thing is how my '84 Skyhawk averaged around 24 MPG, and 20+ years later a comparable Chevy Cobalt w/automatic would average only a couple MPG better.

This guy needs a FuzzBuster!!

I'd have to agree, that's not a meteorite but some kind of space trash...like from the spy satellite we shot down a week or two ago. Depending on when this event occurred, that could be the answer.

Might look better on a 7-series BMW.

"Today the new Saturn Gillette edition broke cover..."

Reminds me of the time I saw a car on the Interstate rolling with TWO temporary spares, both on the same side of the car. I always wondered at what point their logic told them it made more sense to find another spare, versus just getting the first flat fixed.

This reminds me of years ago when I was doing video production work...I was working as key production assistant on an episode of Rescue 911, and the shoot involved an auto accident that occurred in a fog. They'd hired some special effects guys out of Houston I think, and they had an old beat up Toyota pickup which

Years ago my dad bought a very used grain truck to haul bulk cattle feed with; they referred to it as the "white elephant", so for Christmas I bought an elephant hood ornament from J.C.Whitney and gave it to him. He never put it on the truck, but I'm thinking it might be time for him to re-gift it back to me...it'd

I keep expecting (hoping) the Terminator will break through at some point in the Duster ad and start blowing people away.

Back around the turn of the century (that's the 1990s, not the 1890s...though I guess wagons were popular back then too), I saw the virtues of having a wagon as a family truckster. However, in trying to convince my wife that I should have a wagon I made the mistake of saying that since there's a perception that guys

I forget who it was on WKRP who asked the question of Herb "They still make those suits?" to which he replied something to the effect of "Yeah, you can still find them at a golf pro shop over in Kentucky." I used to pride myself in answering my phone the same way Herb did, by slamming my fist down on one side of the

That would have been a blue 1959 Chevrolet Bel-Air 4-door w/283 V8, 3-speed column shift with factory overdrive. My folks bought it new, and though I wasn't born until '65, they continued to use it daily until the early '70s, when it was replaced by our '72 Impala...which was eventually replaced by a '78 Caprice

Assuming all Jeep Patriots are built in the same plant, and knowing that in Europe a CRD version is offered, it really bugs me that this vehicle exists but isn't available in the USofA. I don't know what the fuel economy advantage would be over the two 4-cylinder gas engines available here, but I'd assume the CRD

I'm pretty sure that's dragon smoke in the background.

So this plays through the car speakers, and it syncs to the RPM of the vehicle...wonder what an Italian V8 would sound like in my CVT-equipped Jeep Patriot??!??? VVVVVVVAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRROOOOO...?

Fortunately my '80 El Camino has the anemic 229-V6, helping me score a whopping 35 points! Shouldn't I get bonus points for having the Conquista package and factory AM radio?
