I know journalists and bloggers well enough at this point that I assume they are sensationalizing their headlines, so I didn't get too excited from reading this title, but really it is very misleading.

When I read the article it seemed to me he was talking about GPU and then he also states GPU. Not sure where you got CPU from.

Correction, it is "SelectaDNA" not "SelectDNA".

Really don't follow your Copyright Violation = Theft = Rape, and I don't care to understand your logic on that one. If you are trying to compare either of the other two to rape you have issues.

Agreements that negate competition, essentially creating monopolies, and don't allow people to negotiate compensation are illegal.

I'm not confused. I have a DVR, it's perfectly legal. I've burned a CD to my computer to put on my MP3 player, that's legal.

I decided to remove my comment so I wouldn't be drawn into a pointless discussion, but I was too late.

Never mind, people don't care about facts.

You are passing one socket through and replacing the second socket with two USB outlets. Most USB chargers supplied with personal electronics only come with one USB outlet. I agree, it would be nice to keep two sockets, but you aren't losing capacity as almost all residential outlets are just parallel connections

At 9000 ft. you can see over a hundred miles on a clear day (depending on the terrain in the field of view). So even just assuming a 50 mile view with a half circle field of view, that would cover just under 4000 sq. miles.

Also, in 2004, the US Forest Service estimated 3.8 billion trees in urban areas alone.

The article does not estimate 5 million trees in the US, you misunderstood. The US Forest Service states there is 797 Million acres of Forest in the US. Based off what a forest is, that would seem to indicate a minimum average of 1 tree per acre.

That's why I said "not exactly true" instead of "completely untrue".

No, multipath is the type of interference that causes the issues in cities and areas with large structures. Receivers can work off single and multiple reflections. It does get degraded, but it is actually amazing how robust the system is considering it is an extremely low power transmission from 20,000 km.

Not exactly true, the civilian band is no longer intentionally degraded. The military band is more complex and can be more accurate.

It's called multipath. That's what I mean by the correct setup. Not the horribly de-tuned, low gain, trace antenna they shove into smart phones and many cheap navigation devices.

I know a good deal about both systems and this is full of half truths, propaganda and an obvious ignorance of the subject.

Not "anyone", "anything" and "anytime". Specifically a juror, about the trial, during the trial.

You misunderstand their argument.

There is almost no focus or cohesiveness to the "articles" chosen for this blog anymore. I say "articles" because the majority of them are a synopsis of an actual story someone else wrote from another site and Gizmodo just links to it.
