thats crazy cause i’m 6'6" with a 36" inseam and i have tons of room in my 97 impreza obs (so, first gen).  i’ve even slept relatively comfortably in the passenger seat, folded all the way back.

i drink starbucks vias all the time when camping or out in the bush working.  i like it, but they are expensive compared to other instant coffees.

wife and i used hand crank burr grinders for YEARS til we finally got an electric one.  its loud, but it makes the morning a lot easier.  i highly reccomend it, and they don’t have to be THAT expensive.  we are also incredible cheap.

gas stations in america have a LOT of things they shouldn’t have.  but i’ve been in plenty of canadian gas stations that have little hot counters or the like, so i don’t think its unique to the us.  maybe the burger part.

an F burger literally kills you

i live in alaska but almost 1000 miles from juneau.  would love to do this tour.

hoodoo and silver gulch are unfortunately both trash, but we have one maybe 2 new breweries on the horizon. ursa is an amazing distillery, we actually have 2 others also but ursa is my jam. don’t tell anchorage this but they have the best beer going right now (anchorage brewing, girdwood brewing, midnight sun, king

honestly, i dont even know what a bezel is, and at this point i’m too afraid to ask

a D burger is like those shitty gas station burgers that have been sitting in foil under a heatlamp all day, and they only gave you one ketchup packet and you have to apply the ketchup while youre driving down the road and oh fuck now theres ketchup on your pants...hopefully they at least gave you a napkin

yeah any ‘wine’ produced here is to be avoided, but our breweries and distilleries certainly know what theyre doing!

also you can put the whole batch under the broiler if you are serving a large crowd.  but the pan sear really is best

i also pan sear mine, but i use bacon grease for added decadence

well timed because i have a pork shoulder sitting in my fridge intended for (instant pot) carnitas.  i will give it a shot.

certainly less ungainly (more gainly?) than traditional sails, tho

because everybody likes cocaine

despite a bit of knowledge about guns and a fairly cogent argument, i don’t believe the onus falls *entirely* on the individual. Gun companies and lobbies make it easier than is necessary to obtain said firearms, and aggressively push this agenda. buying a gun is easier today than buying a cell phone.  don’t you think

despite living in the most heavily armed county-equivalent unit in the country (fairbanks north star borough, alaska) i feel like i encounter much fewer in-your-face aggressively pro gun people, bumper stickers, and ads than when i lived in virginia.  it really is more of a utility thing.

im just amazed to find out theres an 85" screen tv

i’ve been saying for years that the ideal vehicle to drive the dalton highway (haul road) in alaska would be a trophy truck.  an electric one though, not so sure.  theres a gas station 100 miles before you get to the dalton, one about 200 miles up the dalton, and another one 220 miles after that (end of the road)

this is the most louisiana thing ive ever heard
