These types of statements are typically only made by owners of virtual/exclusively Internet based aspirations/vehicles. Those that have actually driven the transaxle Porsches would not agree.

Your results are not the same as mine. I bought a 944s 3 years ago for $5500 Canadian with all current maintenance and records back to 1992. I’ve only changed oil since. Last fall I bought an 87 944 turbo with maintenance current and records back to 2000 for $6000 Canadian. Running 15 psi its dyno’d at 290 hp.

83 to first half 85's were 143 hp. 85 1/2's and up in the NA base cars were 150 hp save for the 88 2.7l cars which were 160 hp if I recall. Torque was always a strong point anyway. I have an 87s (16v DOHC with 188 hp factory) and an 87 Turbo built to Rothman’s Turbo Cup specs. The S like the NA base cars is a momentum…
