I hated that!
I wanted to soak in the moment…. but just a few seconds into the closing music, I got a GLOW preview….
(OF COURSE I'm gonna watch GLOW anyway)

Agree about Maritza!
She gained depth last season and it all went out the window this season!

Sometimes her writing didn't exactly track but she acted THE HELL out of it!

ALSO: I was surpised that Gloria went to the bunker; I thought she would've surrendered right after getting off the phone.

Yeah!
and Frank's "I MEANT do that!"… even when everything goes wrong, somehow, that's STILL part of Frank's Plan!

I thought she was Gloria's older sister.

Especially since that punch was supposed to read as "funny".
It wasn't.
It was sad.

While Daya & Bennet were happening, the show was playing it straight, as romantic young love.
Same thing with Piscatella & Wes,… Hey, that tattoo never added up to anything.

I DEFINITELY miss the back-&-forth discussion,
but I appreciate having a place to talk about it immediately after watching.

S3 really was when I began thinking, "Maybe this show isn't for me anymore…"
but S4 brought me back in bigtime.

Yes, I think we need to sit in the tragedy & despair more, and a lot less jokey sitcommy bits.
We're better than that, and this show is better than that.

I still think S5 was better than S3, which felt like the end of the show to me.
Then S4 made it relevant again.

The characters served best this season were Taystee, Watson, Soso & Allison.
They had growth.

Also, I want to say that when Boo & Linda were together - even if it wasn't 'real' on Linda's part - was the most I ever genuinely liked Linda.
And even if she didn't have romantic feelings for Boo, she DID enjoy the way Boo treated her!

Thank you, Myles & everyone, for sharing the experience of S5!

Is it part of his sentence to renounce Alex Jones?
Does he understand that he was manipulated and lied to?

…. and suddenly Yoga Jones is back to being smart again!

CAPUTO: "Quick in-&-out? Five minutes?"
FIG: [grimaces] "Don't touch the hair."

That scene should have hit harder.

Also, the shift to Flaca & Maritza during the shaming of Linda from Purchasing undercut the scene.
The tension was cranking when the crowd started throwing boots at her, but then it cut to case of "comedy" being shoehorned in.
