This is actually me NOT responding because I have no idea what’s going on anymore.

Reply that tells you you’re an idiot without actually saying it, and at the same time spouts off information as fact that is really just my unfounded opinion.

I’d be interested to know more about the “there are no holidays before Juneteenth.” Is this a serious thing or just the snarkiness the author likes to throw out there? I’m not being critical of anything in this article, (personally I don’t care for any holidays, they’re just another day to me) just this one thing

Where the hell have you been for the past 6 months? Hate to disappoint you, but Microsoft does indeed own Bethesda/Zenimax.

If anyone sees this, I can’t reply to any other comments because I can’t find them. Clicking “your post” does nothing but bring you to the article. I give up.

I was referring to the studios, not the IPs. All the studios Sony has bought and made those franchises with were multiplatform beforehand. It’s the same thing, Bethesda/Zenimax just happens to be a much bigger studio.

Have you lost the ability to play Doom? Skyrim? Fallout? No, they are still available on Playstation. Microsoft hasn’t taken anything away from anyone. Starfield was never confirmed a Sony game, from what I remember, Sony tried to pay Bethesda to make it a Sony exclusive and it didn’t happen. Phil Spencer is on record

I was pointing out the hypocrisy where everyone is fine with Sony doing it, but when Microsoft does it, it’s a bad thing. I think exclusivity is shitty and needs to end across the board.

Starfield and Redfall aren’t existing IPs that are being taken away from anyone. Starfield was never confirmed as a release for any specific console.

Sony buys studios that released multiplatform all the time. Those studios from the games I listed have released on other systems previously. Starfield and Redfall are not existing IPs and are now made under the Microsoft Studios banner. It’s the same thing.

Sony only owned the rights to Spiderman for films. Also, Spencer has said that he has no issue releasing games on other consoles and it would be determined on a case by case basis.

And Sony has done exactly that in the past, but the only time anyone said anything negative was when it dealt with Spiderman.

Sony has purchased studios that made games for Microsoft previously and decided they were now exclusives. From the sounds of it, those games that were multiplatform previously would remain on both consoles as well.

All things point to them still releasing ES6 and FO5 on Playstation though. Spencer has said in the past he has no issue releasing games on other platforms. The games mentioned in this article are new IPs that have never been on a Sony console before.

Except that Starfield and Redfall are not existing IPs that Sony has had on their consoles. They didn’t come out saying ES6 or FO5 will be Xbox exclusives did they? Sony has bought several 3rd party studios that have made Xbox games, but are now Sony exclusive.

Okay, now write this same article about Sony releasing Horizon, God of War, Last of Us, and the many other exclusives.

I personally thought Microsoft had a pretty strong showing. Not a lot releasing before the holidays, but a bunch of games to look forward to. We also have a schedule for every game coming to Game Pass day one for the next several months.

Really hard to assume that considering most of the games in this article are in development and weren’t expected to release this year anyways. If they show the same footage every year they basically do what Sony does and people lose patience.

I’m a bit confused by this article. Evil Dead is more like Dead by Daylight (pvp) than L4D. We have seen nothing of Redfall and from what I understand, it’s more of a co-op story driven game that can be played solo or with friends. That doesn’t necessarily mean it’s going to be like L4D.
