Wow what a mess. Movement Discipline (congregating behind walls of unknown construction, moving in front of doors and windows to rooms that haven’t been cleared/secured), Light Discipline (keeping lights and lasers on even if they aren’t illuminating anything, which makes you a target for friend and foe alike and

Outside the scope of a Presidentially Declared Disaster/State of Emergency/Martian Invasion, the military will do everything it can to avoid involving itself in Direct Action against US Citizens on US soil. And the military can stand on precedent. This sentiment extends from the commanders of the units to the JAGs and

Those fuckers in Oregon aren’t worth that kind of damage to our ideals.

SMGs have fallen way out of favor in favor of SBRs (Short-Barelled Rifiles based on the M4 platform). SMGs deteriorate significantly in overall effect (muzzle velocity/penetrative power and accuracy) past 25 meters. Also, an SMG firing 9mm does VERY poorly even against factory auto glass (the later the model year, the

Pretty much the latter, in some communities. A_hole vs. A_hole, needless escalation that killed nobody (sorry 'bout that) but sets a toxic tone for a collective cultural values system:

Man, it would be cool to see Obama grow a "Most Interesting Man Alive" beard in the months between the 2106 Presidential election and the inauguration.

No, you're just not hierarchically fixated (a trait common among primates and platinum premiere pimpslap members), and travel is a thrill not a burden. Hotel club floors originated before we all had the internet on our phones, and sleep-starved, time-compressed travelers needed a predictable level of quality for food

Not a fan of sleeping in a running car. You can address 90% of the heat challenge by keeping two simple things in your car—all the time—that will prove to be solid investments for all the times you DON'T have to sleep in your car:

And thank you so much for doing that.

Can't speak for this op (very informative article, thanks), but in my experience the cranes expedite handling of cargo and the massive amount of support equipment that follows a heliborne assault force into combat.

From the perspective of a dude who's made every mistake you can make (save for actually boning a direct subordinate) running mixed platoon- and company-sized units in high-pressure tactical environments, it's a different set of personal, professional and leadership challenges.

Russia accepts the challenge. Putin's best are hard at work at something that will top this.

If you NEED to race and don't live a driveable distance from a track you can pay to ride, move. Can't afford it? Go to school, get a third job or steal from the wealthy.

There's this, and there's THIS:

If you have the cash, you can be a Kardashian insider. You don't have to be smart or likeable. Just wealthy and careless with your money.

There's gotta be some kind of cool word for the practice of planting straight rumors in the media (Cory Booker and that stripper chick—everyone knows that the best strippers don't even go to first base with their most passionate suitors).

OK so not every swing gets you a grand slam.

Did you see what that Japanese Navy dude did in "Battleship?" HE FIGURED IT OUT! HE HACKED THEIR GRID!

The prospect of drunken sailors from a foreign navy having their way with the women folk (and maybe a few of the men) too much to countenance?
