I still like my iPod touch for controlling the Apple TV, the only thing it is used for since I got an Android phone (X10).

The X10 is an amazing phone.

Ah, so it's like the default keyboard on X10. Or pretty much any SonyEricsson phone for the last 3-4 years. Fantastic news.

@duhkiller: That seems like quite the overstatement. A lot of innovation comes from Europe. Mobile telephony was invented in Sweden with Ericsson's MTA. Ericsson is the leader in mobile-network and radio now, with no more US competition after Nortel. (Cisco is in IP networks)

Word on the street is that at least one one other major phone company have tested but rejected the Gorilla glass.

Obiously missing the X10!

@medopal the vuvuzela:

@Ninety-9: Wicked good comments! ;)

I'm sporting an X10, excellent phone also in sunlight.

@robotoil: Wicked nice comment. ;)

@MacHead: Well actually most mobile phone manufacturers do serious drop testing. I've talked to some people who work for Sony Ericsson, they state that the phones are supposed to handle 1000 drops from 1m (3.3 ft) without breaking.

@studioholladay: I've read through the other replies to your comment. Am I the only one getting your sarcasm? Because it must be sarcasm that you point out video chat on a phone... I mean the first video call on a mobile phone in Europe was in 1999.

Nice. It didn't seem like they had full control of the flight, but there are many other teams working on good controllers for that.

I'm sporting the X10 from Sony Ericsson. Fantastic phone. One of the many nice features is that SE made a better touch keyboard for Android, with predictive input and all. ;)

Wow. So it's alot (50%) heavier than X10, it's pretty much same volume, but the screen is smaller and the battery weaker.

@medopal: I do see your point about device size and such. However I find the challenge of writing for multiple sizes interesting and something that everyone has to deal with.

@medopal: Yes indeed. Let's put our efforts behind a propriety platform that aggresively attempt to block any attempt at providing freedom of choice for developers and users.

For the love of god, just go metric and make away with most of those silly conversions. USA, Liberia and Myanmar are the only countries left that hasn't gone metric...
