They came to Columbus a lot while I was at Ohio State in the mid-to-late 80's, and I saw them a lot (IIRC at least 7 times, the first I believe when they opened up for X). One time a couple of friends and I cut a whole lot of daffodils and tulips and pelted them with flowers from the balcony.
I feel you on "2HB." I seriously thought for a while that the title was referring to a type of pencil (seriously).
Wait, I wasn't watching this on Adult Swim last night?
Correct. And Bianca just turned 40. Ginger is closer in age to Violet than she is to Bianca.
I read an interview with Katya where she says she totally clammed up every time Ru came to talk to her in the workroom (she said there was no doubt lots of uncomfortable footage of that). She felt like Ru didn't get to see her personality because of that. Which would go a long way towards explaining why Ru didn't see…
Totally agree. But I did wince every time she said "condone" instead of "conduct," and I am sure that was at least partly what Michelle was getting at when she asked why, if Kennedy is so professional, she gave the least professional speech.
Totally off topic, but I contributed to the Kickstarter for Willam's Beatdown and chose a ringtone (you tell Willam what you want him to say, and he records a file you can use as a ringtone). I had him say "Indifference is worse than hate. Answer the phone, goddammit!" It is everything.
I don't remember her saying she COULDN'T sing as much as saying she wasn't going to make an album. And any singing she did was more like rhythmic talk-singing.
Plus she had the best comments on the action.
The final decision is Ru's to make…
Courtney's been doing a lot of stuff with Willam and Alaska—I don't know how busy she was before Drag Race, though.
I GRADUATED HIGH SCHOOL in 1984. Thanks for making me feel REALLY old, bitches…
Yes. Willam basically won Season 4, despite the DQ. Other queens who did not win seem to be doing quite well with the boost that Drag Race gave them (Manila, JuJubee, Shangela, Raven, Alaska, Courtney Act…)
I think Kennedy goes next, and the top 3 are Violet, Pearl, and Ginger.
Where did I read (was it here?) that Pandora kind of spoiled the final three a week or so ago? Oh yeah, here: http://www.inquisitr.com/20…
Makes me wish that there was a Bianca this season who would call her out on her bullshit.
Not as funny as Bianca either.
"Lightning Strikes" by Lou Christie (and yes, this is before my time). The whole theme of the song is the guy saying I love you, I'm going to marry you, but until we get married, I'm gonna sleep around SO HARD and you'd better be OK with that. Dude is a total slut. And yet, it comes on the radio, and I can't help but…
My favorite too (though I also have a sneaking fondness for Return of the Native).
