Materials is what literally separates one android phone from another. They’re all running android with some overlay running on top of it. How else do you justify paying more than $200 or $300 bucks for one when you have 1000's of choices.

The NYC subway is literally running on decades old tech. Signal and track switchers, are running on machinery that’s on the verge of a complete breakdown. Imagine the phone company still using operators manually plugging in connections.

Ronald Reagan cut all research to solar when he took office FYI. So no, it’ has not been continually researched since the first space probes. Only since Obama took office has any real effort been put into alternative energy.
