Power user? A real power user would be streaming their videos to their big screen TV with Plex or something. There is literally no advantage to using either one of these media players. What you said is the equivalent that real men drink Pepsi instead of Coke... it’s pretty silly.

I did use it, years ago. I switched because VLC I think it has a better interface. I’m not knocking MPC I’m just saying it does nothing VLC doesn’t. There’s a reason MPC fell out of favor and everyone switched to VLC.

What advantage does media player classic have over VLC.. and geeks are always the beta testers, always updating and always testing new hardware and software. So not sure what kind of geeks you know that are following 10 year old trends.

I’ve tried a few win10 apps, no one is really missing anything by sticking to the web interface.
