BMW.

How’s 650hp/750ft-lbs, a 4-speed manual, zero driver assists, and a sub 3k lb car sound?

I daily drive a manual transmission car. And I don’t agree or disagree with you.

That was a Monty Python reference, my good dude.

Yeah, not sure where all this “has to be under 3000lbs” lunacy is coming from”. The list of cars that weigh under 3k is predictably small. Add affordable and awd and it’s almost none.

Subaru has been disappointing me for the last decade. I recently purchased my 4th and likely last Subaru.

If you go to Toyota’s website, they still have the 2021 GR Yaris in their ‘upcoming vehicles’ section:

I would trade my Focus RS in for it if it meets my expectations. I’m driving a lit for work these days and I know how fussy the RS can get as the miles pile up.

I think this is one car that I would do the legwork to buy, especially given that Subaru has been such a disappointment.

My hill to die on is that I’ll always choose revs over outright speed. GT3 > Turbo S, 458 > 488, etc.

They’re just like riding a bike, you kinda just do it without thinking. What really gets you is stop and go traffic which unfortunately there are more of.

Now playing

BMW’s future styling direction is genuinely abysmal - on track to be the worst in the U.S. market within this decade, and the sole thing that will keep the company afloat is brand recognition (because it sure as shit isn’t going to be reliability or heat seaters that require a fucking subscription).

Station wagons are better than SUV’s.

I’ll have you know I’m nine and three quarters... also rubber and you are glue.

We need to get Tom on this as well. I am sure he has a wealth of knowledge to contribute if he wants.

In some jurisdictions this crime is literally called "stunting."

6 year old Subaru means that the engine was eating and leaking oil like crazy and probably shat itself so he probably replaced it with refurb engine. My friend has a vintage Forester and basically keeps adding oil till this thing will finally die. Probably somewhere in the middle of Death Valley when he is out camping

I don’t understand this. If that had been my car, my socially inept self would not be able to setup a go-fund-me account and get actual money out of it.

Mercedes, Crohn’s may be caused or exacerbated by too little vitamin D in the body. The immune system does not function on all four out of four cylinders without it. (Plenty of stuff comes up if you google Crohn’s and vitamin D, not all of it accurate. Of particular note, it’s very hard to get sufficient D from food,

Yeah, an EVs change everything. Make it an EV (which would likely be what happens in 5-10 years) and does it matter if it needs a CDL to drive legally? Whatever flicks this person’s bic right?
