You’d think the EcoBoost V6 is lighter than the V8, but it is not.

Had it on my 95 Yukon and actually miss having it. It did have an adjustment though so that you could change how much the volume increased with speed instead of it being off or on with the inevitably wrong setting from the factory.
Turbocharged engines - For Fuel Economy!
Four-door sedans are the best ones (and wagons) - since all the boring people save coupes and convertibles, the four-door ones become much cooler as they become rarer.
Yeah, I disagree with about 80% of this list... and one isn’t even an actual car.
Buy a name brand used bike on Craigslist. Then replace the brake pads and cables. Pay the local bike shop to do it if you’re not entirely comfortable doing that.
There aren't any. Unless you can find one of these bikes they're advocating for used. That's the problem the reliable ones are expensive and require maintenance. The cheap ones are cheap and can't be maintained really.
Schwinn went through bankruptcy restructuring many years ago (I think late 90's) and became nothing more than a brand name for box stores to sell as “higher end” than Huffy. They are not the same quality bicycles you parents remember from the 70's and 80's.
Interesting, when I was riding bikes as a kid, the bikes proved more durable than my bones. (mid 2000s)
That a very, um, unsophisticated view of US foreign policy. Feels like 2004 all over again.
Fill up the Thermos with some Black Rifle Coffee and tease yer beard, it’s time to go kick some ass!
Im on team I dont want the manufacturers to have this info either.
I know it’s been covered before, elsewhere, and probably more coherently, but: if car companies are collecting enough data on me that they’re concerned for my safety if it’s accessible, then they’re collecting too much data.
My buddy smashed his catalytic converter on some rocks in his jeep wrangler and replaced it with straight pipe to be cheep. It would not run over 20mph so he needed to actually spend money.
Good one! It is a 9 year old Jeep Wrangler. It may never die it will just keep getting worse. (also still covered by bumper to bumper warranty.)
Me too...it’s complaining about my catalytic convert efficiency...considering I can hear it rattling around and the car smells like a boat now...I believe it.
Have fun driving your ticking time bomb!
Yep, government helped alright.
Very interesting read. In the end, it seems that Ronald Reagan’s own government fulfilled his own view on government: “The most terrifying words in the English language are ‘I’m from the government and I’m here to help.’”
