I wont disagree. The whole sequence in London between him, Sersei and Sprite + Ikaris was easily the weakest single part of the film for me. 

I.e. Black Widow and Hawkeye are useless characters who have no place in the movies anymore since even the weakest of the next gen lineup could kill then with a look.

Why even introduce Kit at all if he’s not important to the plot anyway?

yup but instead of 3 art pieces and 2 items he only has 2 art pieces. so it helps, but wont solve all your problems at once

I think the value is seeing a corner of the Star Wars universe that hasnt been explored in the mainstream or represented at such a high budget and quality.
