Consoles do have unplayable launches much more rarely than PC does.

So we’ve devolved to “I have a crappy PC, and that’s why console is better”.

Literally everything youre saying is the reason I dont play on PC. I dont eve have to think about any of that with console. My 2012 PC chugs along with Steam and Magic Arena so I’m 100% sure Red Dead and other games arent going to work as smooth as you say. Maybe in theory but not at all in practice. Sorry.

See that’s exactly my point. I dont want to maintain my machine religiously. I dont want to maintain it at all. I want to turn it on, turn it off, and be sure it works when I do.

So youre saying I can run modern games on my old 2012 windows PC? Or am I going to have to go in there and change the drives or video cards or processors or whatever before it can run the game at any playable level?

The ease and convenience of consoles is only real when you don’t know how to do things on PC.

Thats a fair point but it also reinforces my own. PC has gotten more streamlined, but consoles have been streamlined from the get go.
