I'm not having don't have humor in it... I've recently watched about 400 episodes of the old show and it's much better than most people like to believe. It wasn't campy, it was the 60's, it seems campy by today's standards and it was filmed basically as a live, no time to correct mistakes, show. Parts of the show were

Well it's official... I have lived long enough to see ALL of my dreams shattered. Why call this Dark Shadows if you are going to be so far away from the original source materiel> I used to wonder why Dan Curtis was so protective, to the point of paranoia, about how the show was presented. Well, here's the reason. It

not alone! Cruise is best as an audience stand-in. Not doing much but giving the point of view of those watching. For some reason when he's good, you can easily imagine yourself in his place. Of course when he's bad... it's pretty painful. LOL

I might be the only person on Earth (or a least here) that didn't hate the new "War of the Worlds". Once I got over the utter stupid "hiding in the ground and we never noticed" thing, I thought it was a fairly good update of the original story with great effects. The "everyone is reunited and happy" ending was typical

there has been some talk of this for a while in the skeptical community. It's really evident in many cases that the blogs are simply fakes using "science talk" to give their point of view something to quote from that sounds scientific in some way.

I think they set up a typical "this is what we have to do to get rid of the ghost" scenario but didn't follow through with it. Instead we got a non ending and then some sort of "happy ending" tacked on totally out of keeping with everything we just experienced. I loved this movie... until that what might be called a

well.. I'm totally put off from seeing Dark Shadows again... I keep hoping but it looks more and more like they've totally missed the mark on this one.

You are correct...I do this work all the time... it's not very mysterious. I do like the concept.

Robot dinosaurs are the future of everything. At least I hope so.

OMG no! I'll have to look that up!

i was never so happy as when I found the english version of the "Godzilla VS the Smog Monster" theme song on youtube. I used to work in a video store and make all the employees stop working and imitate the go-go girl singer in the opening credits.

or to be true to slash fiction a little more. Spock, Uhura and Kirk. Kirk is sort of a sex pig... don't think he'd need much convincing.

it isn't difficult to guess who those two actors might have plays either... I can easily see and evil Welles floating around

Gloria Swanson and Orson Welles?.. I don't care how bad the movie turned out to be in the end... I'd see it twice. Jodorowsky is a great director and very visual so I imagine even it the film wasn't a perfect adaption, it would be well worth having done.

Personally, I don't have a Facebook page or any of that stuff and don't plan to. None of it is as important as it seems in the moment it's popular. The social media thing is a trend, maybe it will last but likely it won't. Does anyone remember "friendster"? I always found it odd that no one on Star Trek read books

I'd love to see a really good and fairly faithful adaption of Frankenstein sometime in my lifetime, but 80 million seems a lot for something that needs a lot more good character acting and careful scripting than effects work.

This is a place I would never even consider going to when it was open... now I'd kill to go there!

Nico as batman? Yes please

I totally agree... doesn't solve the problem of having "new" characters but it might helps generate some in the one term.

Don't count the Shadow out yet... there was that HORRIBLE film but also a great comic in the 80's. He's a great character that could easily come back, like Sherlock Holmes again and again in different updated incarnations. Superman, Batman have shown an amazing ability to be adapted despite of and perhaps because of
