Tokyo Ghoul or Aldnoah.Zero might be something to look into. Zankyou no Terror's part of the Noitamina lineup which is meant to increase the wider audience of anime beyond the shounen crowd with more unique series. Past series in the lineup have included Anohana and Psycho-Pass, both well-regarded.

Totally agree - if it follows the manga closely then there will be some genuinely shocking and emotional moments this season. Cannot wait for Edese and the Jaegers to debut!

Just out of interest, how did it compare to Aldnoah.Zero if you watched that as well?

Aldnoah. Zero had an excellent first episode - I'm hoping that it keeps it up and that when the penny drops, it will be glorious.

Having watched about seven of the ten that I'm interested in, there are several that have the potential to be pretty interesting and every one of them had a decent or great first episode. If you have specifics, perhaps I could help? Remember even the first couple of episodes of the great Steins; Gate weren't that

Mate, I'm afraid that every arc pretty much involves returning to a different VR game, so that's just something that you'll have to suspend disbelief for.

The secound cour/ Alfheim arc is no where near as enjoyable as the first due to a severe lack of Asuna, but it's not terrible plotwise. Asuna's character is

Akame Ga Kiru!, Gekkan Shoujo, Ao Haru Ride, Hanayamata, Glasslip, Tokyo Ghoul, Zankyou No Terror, Aldnoah Zero, SAO II, Tokyo ESP, Sailor Moon

Most enjoyable episodes so far: Aldnoah Zero, Akame Ga Kiru!, Tokyo Ghoul, Gekkan Shoujo

Anticipating/ Excited for: SAO II, Tokyo ESP, Zankyou No Terror

Disappointed so far:

For the man who has been designing and drawing Pokemon since the early 1990s, that is one crap Pikachu.

I think that problem can be avoided by not giving children expensive touch-screen mobile phones, which is another issue altogether; they don't need them, who on earth are they going call in such a way that requires the endless number of apps available? If children really need to call for their safety while travelling

They have a similar, but taller 131-foot vertical free-fall slide in Durban called The Drop Zone. I was wearing speedos that day. Do not recommend.

It was hellishly fun though; I must have gone six or seven times.

While there is an argument for showing older technology which laid the foundation for the better technology, I think appreciation is independent of the actual technology; the reason your method of placing artificial restrictions on the extent of technological advancement works is because you are instilling that sense

Yeah, I'll give him credit there. I'm pretty sure it was his downfall early on though, no? In that tournament where his old Chimchar beat him or something. To be honest, I found Diamond and Pearl so bland compared to my (nostalgia-infused) enjoyment of the original series and Advanced that I quit fairly early on and

This is blasphemous, but I genuinely hated Tetris as a child. Then I again, I have Cerebral Palsy, which affected my motor skills and pattern recognition when I was younger, so that could have been the cause. Happily, there was Pokemon eventually.

I don't think that's necessary, I just think that children have to cherish whatever they have. That comes more from them experiencing a sense of wonder from the console (book, anything really) as well as appreciating the value of it. That value won't come if the console is treated as any old thing or small children

Can I tempt you with a lamb curry?

Dude, Gary was the best hands down - nobody put Ash in his place with as much ease or flair (until The Silver Conference - that was an awesome battle when the anime still had good battles with actual weight to them).

Did Paul have a group of hot cheerleaders that he drove around until he decided to ditch them to become

Perhaps they were paying for him to put clothes on?

If you change it to fish and chips I'll back it.

In the 21st Century, humans have also adopted the phrase "nuking the fridge", forever reminding us of the fourth Indiana Jones film that was cancelled mid-production and never existed.

Ahh, well then then it's ironic that in agreeing with GingerisAConstruct's statement about buying grades and the poor state of education, you proceed to misspell "embarrassing". Probably just a typo, but it was somewhat amusing.
