The basic idea here is that the show is about good people, and we want to see them do good things. I’d like to think that being a good person and an American cop aren’t mutually exclusive.
Her last notes literally reference the intense bullying she received.
So an insane person is someone who doesn’t have family support?
Apparently started from an episode where she get into argument that her fellow wrestler roommate didn’t wash her wrestling gear properly and it got ruined.
From what I’ve read, there was an episode that aired in March where another cast member ruined a custom wrestling outfit of hers and then was dismissive while she was upset. Unbeknownst to her, the other cast member had just bombed at a comedy show and was feeling down. The show fans took his side and sent her tons of…
Probably nothing more than her gender. All women are bullied online without any “reason.”
Depends how much he’d be involved. He still does VO work, especially for kids shows (he’s adult Finn in Adventure Time). I believe he has grandkids he might be doing them for?
I think Marvel has proven that, as long as there’s a solid concept, it literally does not matter if the character is popular going in. As you said, Iron Man was a b-tier hero at best. Guardians of the Galaxy was far lower on the totem pole than even that. Both make all kinds of money now.
Eh, back in the mid-90's, Gargoyles was one of the most popular Disney cartoons out there. Sure, it didn’t compare to Power Rangers or Batman, but I’d wager it was easily in the Top 10, if not Top 5.
Also, keep Keith David and Jonathan Frakes.
At the end of Clone Wars, in the last few episodes, Maul even makes it pretty explicit that: ‘Stop it? Stop what? The Republic from falling? The Jedi from collapsing? It’s already happened.’ and calls Anakin Palpatine’s prize.
Good take Julie. Ahsoka could have saved the Galaxy, and she is a tragic character, but I think that her whole arc in both Clone Wars and Rebels was about how stupid and useless and bad the whole Jedi shtick was. She was the perfect character to show all this, and all the stuff she goes through is just that: she is a…
I think turning Anakin was gravy on Palpatine ‘s plan. It was like Palpatine saying “hey Jedi! Not only.did I take over the government, install myself as emperor, brand you all as traitors, and wipe out your order (without any of you suspecting), but I’m also taking your “chosen one” as my apprentice. “ Ha,Ha,Ha!!!…
Dude. You are a fucking nerd. And I love you.
I always said that fight made no sense to me. I wanted Sidious to be this master of The Force and not a great duelist. Someone who didn’t have to throw down because he didn’t have to.
See I'm firmly in the camp that Mace beat him because he knew Mace would beat him, but also knew Anakin wouldn't let Mace kill him. In pure lightsaber play Mace clearly had the upper hand.
But surely the only reason that she learns what she does is she *isn’t* in a position to do anything? If the Jedi hadn’t basically offered her up as a sacrifice she’d almost certainly have been with Anakin when Palps was captured, sorry, ‘captured’ by the Separatists so doesn’t talk to Maul. By the time she learns the…
The greatest failure of the Republic was ANYONE trusting Anakin. He gave them absolutely no reason to let him keep training, he repeatedly expressed fascist sympathies, Padme watched him commit an attempted genocide, he was reckless, he constantly put everyone in danger, he was constantly enraged and resistant to even…
