Spider-Verse was one of Slott’s best arcs... but it is still pretty janky how they treated some of the Spider-Man characters Slott or his fellow creators didn’t know well or care for. I am surprised Spider-Man Japan got what love he did get.

Technically he did pose as Spider-Man in Slott’s Kraven Family arc where he let himself be captured so they would kill him and not Peter.
