Say whatever you want about Felger (and plenty do), but Varitek was ABSOLUTELY porking Watney.

Reading this article gave me PTSD flashbacks to growing up in the Boston media market. I love Boston sports, but I’d be willing to have every professional team in Boston fold just so all these fuckers would lose their jobs.

Two great things about the article:

I think I’m still a Boston sports fan because I’ve never been within the broadcast signal range of any of these idiots. Or in the greater Boston metro area with any regularity.

These guys are the sports radio equivalent of the dwarves from The Hobbit: all filling some small niche but otherwise completely indistinguishable from each other in the long view. They’re all absolutely terrible.

You need a drInk! :)

And how do you say Ainge “started out” with a better team? He took over the Celtics in 2003, blew up a deeply flawed, middling team, built from the ground up a championship team that stayed highly competitive for 5-6 years, then blew up that team with one of the best trades in NBA history, while simultaneously going

Harris 2020 just saying

He’s still having a better season than Buchholz...

Of all the guys on the 2004 team he’s the last one standing in the majors and one of the most unlikely to do so.

Boston gets a ton of flack on the Gawker sites, plenty of it well deserved, but if you learned how to drive in Massachusetts you are usually in the best class of drivers in the country. You learn how to navigate every permutation of weather, topography, road width, non-grid street configuration, passenger/traffic

Pull into the intersection. If the intersection is big enough, pull up enough so another car behind you can get in too. That way when the light changes, you don’t screw over the person behind you, and you both make the light.
When people sit behind the line at an intersection, I want drag them out of their cars.

This is my biggest driving pet peeve. In regular driving conditions, you should always pull into the intersection and be ready to go if there’s a break in traffic or you get the green arrow. If the light turns yellow, you complete your turn so you’re not blocking the opposing traffic. It’s really pretty simple.

The number one vehicle exporter from the USA is BMW out of their massive South Carolina plant.

Oh- and BTW, VW, Mercedes and BMW all have massive factories in the US. Ironically the largest BMW factory is in South Carolina and we actually export most of those X5's and whatever back to the EU and elsewhere.

Considering the giant piles of money that have been spent investigating Hillary and Bill, and the lack of any indictments/arrests that have come from those investigations, they’re either 2 of the greatest criminal masterminds in the history of the world, or these investigations have been strictly about politics and

If you think hosting the Super Bowl is a route to an economic boost then you haven’t been paying attention. The evidence just doesn’t back that up. Even if you were right (you’re not) why would Vegas spend $950 million dollars in order to bring in “tens of millions of dollars”? Does not compute.

It’s like the gritty, 2017 “Being There” reboot where an elderly mentally ill man accidentally becomes President, but instead of a lifetime of peaceful reflection and gardening he’s spent the last five decades trying to sexually assault as many people as possible.

So he’s had dementia for the 40 years (give or take) that he’s been in the public eye (no doubt before that).

This is like a kid getting caught stealing from a cookie jar and saying, “I definitely did NOT steal a cookie. And it DEFINITELY wasn’t white chocolate macadamia.”
