Question: do they understand it if they are in direct contact with it? My mother was severely ill and died when I was a child. Death was part of my life as it is for millions of children daily.

I've tutored kids and Teenagers for a while. I'm not surprised. I always had to pinch myself because they looked like adults these days, much more than I did at that age. So they looked older, appeared older...and then I talked to them and realized what was going on.
