Absolutely, I agree to an extent. The problem now is that I typically opt for going straight to research and skipping the film entirely once. The films existence is enough to get me digging,
It’s gotten to the point I don’t even enjoy “based on the true story” movies anymore. So many of these films take far too much creative license. You go to wikipedia after the film and discover that critical elements of the stories were fictional. What’s the point of a film like this except for people to talk about it…

I am a huge Dario Argento fan and have followed Asia’s career from it’s creepy beginnings as a bid for daddy’s attention. IMO she has never been likable; tragic and flawed and sad, but not very likable.
