You’re welcome! There is a local legend about a butcher accidentally buying pig casings instead of lamb casings for his bratwurst, and boiling them because he was afraid they would burst when fried. And thus, the Weißwurst was born.
The thick skin is typical for the original Bavarian Weißwurst. You can eat it, as it’s organic, but most either cut it open, or push/pull/suck the meat out with their teeth. This is called zuzeln, and is about as elegant as you imagine.
With two kids in the house, a fifty-hour game is an endeavor of several months for me, and there are to many great games still waiting for me - though a female protagonist would have sorely tempted me to do a replay anyway.
I was hoping for a female protagonist a la P3P, so I'm a little disappointed.
It’s only dangerous if part of the organs are mirrored - in the mentioned case, her heart was “normal”, but the rest of her organs were not, which can lead to problems with the blood flow.
I’m fine with drama in video games, it's real life that needs a "No drama, please" button.
Now I know why P5 had such a steep discount in the PS store - and I regret buying it. But hooray if that's a female protagonist!
Well, that is good news! If it’s half as atmospheric as the first one, it will still be great. Bloodlines is one of the few games I’ll replay from time to time.
Got excited for a minute before realizing that Trails of Cold Steel II comes to the PS4, not Trails III.
It does look very similar to Powdered Toast Man, but it’s actually this character:
Synchronized gymnastics Spider-Men!
Late to the party, but “mealy” does not refer to “like a meal”, but instead to the other use of “meal”, which refers to “ground or powdery substance”, e.g. oatmeal (related to the German word for “flour”, “Mehl”, and we call mealy apples “mehlig”, “flour-like”). So a mealy apple is not an apple as a meal, but an apple…
As a little linguistic aside, “meal” can actually also refer to a ground or powdery substance (e.g. oatmeal). It’s related to the German word “Mehl”, which means “flour”, and “mealworms” most often turn up in flour.
Do the pneumoccocal vaccine for your kids. My four-month-old caught it and went from perfectly healthy to a sepsis in the span of hours. Luckily, she is fine now, but if we or any of the doctors involved had reacted slower, she wouldn’t be here now.
Oh, the toy industry loooves to exploit the loot-box mechanic, and it works like a charm on kids. You are right, collectibles in blind boxes have been around for a long time. Is it gambling? Not sure, but I’d argue it’s even worse than loot boxes because it is directly aimed at children.
Mulder and Scully? No, for me the true dreamboat of X-Files was Skinner. You better believe his shirtless scenes confused teenage me to no end, because that could be my dad, but abs...
Canada Geese and Barnacle Geese migrate and breed here in Germany, and in spring there are dozens of them (plus baby geese) in the bigger parks. I’ve never seen them get aggressive, not even towards dogs. They are just annoying in that they shit everywhere, block the paths, and only move in the slowest of wobbles.…
I sometimes let my 2yo watch/help when I play Spider-Man. Combat is easily avoided, and there are a lot of totally peaceful side-quests (and Spider-Man doesn’t really kill anybody). The kid is super into vehicles right now, so any attempt to really play the game will lead to cries of “I want to look at the trains go…
It so sad when you see the dog later... Tutorial, why did you make me do that?
