My money is on the rebel. “No dad, I’m not going to obsess about some bland virginal girl. Oh god, stop hissing in the sunlight, you are embarrassing me! And next time we have a barbecue, please no more staking jokes while you make shashlik, my friends already think you are a super weirdo. Ugh, my life is the WORST!”

Honestly, this looks pretty interesting, and I hope it’s not just one of those novelty dating sims that lately flood the market. As much as I like stepping in the shoes of wide-eyed innocent girls, a little variety doesn’t hurt. Dating as a parent - and dating other parents - has a lot of potential for a romance game

I hope they add a smaller anglerfish mascot that bites the bigger one, and then is slowly absorbed into the bigger anglerfish. Such is the beautiful world of anglerfish romance.

I’m still sad she isn’t “really canon”, because I feel her story works better than the male protag’s. Plus, dating Akihiko is just so adorable.

I’d say it’s better than the non-portable version, and I would highly recommend playing with the female protagonist even if the game suggest the male protag. It’s very clear they learned from P4 when they created the female route.

I’m not ashamed to admit I had trouble reading the goodbyes because I kept tearing up. Dammit, I just wanted a future with Akihiko :(

I think having the player character as kind of a shapeless avatar for you encourages going for the romance option you would choose yourself. I still remember one of the first otome VNs I played, Sweet Fuse, where my favorite romance option was the widowed, 35 years-old, single dad reporter. And of course you are a 19

Woodruff! The weird world was pretty cool, but the riddles were so frustrating, I never managed to finish it (way back when you couldn’t just look up walkthroughs on the internet, but had to mail order printed ones).

Excuses, excuses. Try organizing an online RPG session with people from Australia, Europe, and the US...

That is even funnier.

I blame the Toreador. Always blame the Toreador.

That’s the question. It would be less annoying if I hadn’t used the Lapras as a buddy to push it to a decent level, which feels like a waste now.

Lapras was one of the few decent Pokemon I have, so I’m disappointed as well :/

Great, thank you! Somehow I missed them...

Any links where you can purchase these games? I’d love to buy... well, pretty much all of them.

Did I miss it or was there no (spoiler for season 2) baby in the trailer? Don’t do this to me, game!

Trails of Cold Steel II on my lovely Vita. It just came out here in Europe. The first part ended on a massive cliffhanger, so I’m glad the second part didn’t take as long as Trails in the Sky to be published.

I’m a big fan of romance as well. I find it works better between PCs, because NPCs normally don’t hang around all the time (or the GM doesn’t have that much time to play your love interest). It’s also something that requires a certain level of trust between the players. I hesitate to add in-game flirting if I’m not

My problem with very complex premade adventures is my horrible memory. Ten NPCs with long backstories? I’ll trip over some super important detail sooner or later (“Oh! He’s actually her brother, sorry, I forgot. Maybe I should have mentioned that before you planned the wedding.”)

Have you tried online gaming yet? It’s not that different from offline tabletop rpgs if you use a webcam. Roll20 is a virtual table for rpgs, and you can search for groups/players as well.
