I was hoping for this. Now I’m hoping that the game let’s you play in local co-op and you can stab Griffith in the face. Repeatedly :)

Not a rip off, but taking place in the same setting (Zamonia, as I mentioned), so of course the creatures are the same. It’s even closer to the City of Dreaming Books, because the game took place in Bookholm.
Fiasco is nearly always great! I think our best session was with the Touring Rock Band - two skinny glam rocker fighting for the pole position in the band, underage groupie twins, one which started burning during the great finale while dressed as an angel, and then there was the roadie Toothless Joe, his prized…
You want us to tell you about our characters? Are you sure? Really? Well, if you insist...
Good luck! I neglected the magic a bit in the beginning, but it’s pretty useful. Freezing also stops an impending attack, which can be a live-safer, when two monsters power up at the same time.
I bought Severed out of loyalty to my beloved, forgotten Vita (not by me, you are still my most used console), and I ended up loving it. I’m actually more of a story-centered player, but Severed was the first game that made me go “huh, that’s some really smart gameplay”. Not to mention that it’s the best touch-screen…
As long as they’re not cock-blo... *hacks hand off to prevent the terrible joke from coming into reality*
Very nice. I wish kinja would let me star posts :(
Sadly (or luckily, depending on your viewpoint), you’ll have to actually pay money to read “Conquered by Clippy” or “Taken by the Tetris Block”.
Yes, well... I mean, we live in a world where erotic short stories about Clippy and Tetris pieces exist, so I guess it’s actually surprise that more people search for sexy Minecraft blocks than for sexy orcs or sexy tombraiders.
Minecraft porn? People are searching for Minecraft porn? I should not be, and yet I am surprised.
I’m actually not sure, sorry (it’s also been quite some time ago that I played settlers myself). I can’t imagine you can trade with somebody sitting a hundred meters apart, but probably with the people next to you.
No, it actually is one big game, though with a special board (500 meters long) and some rule tweaks.
There was a 1040-players game of Settlers of Catan at the last board game fair in Essen, Germany (impressions here (in German):
Yes, they clearly realized that these elements from P4 were great and integrated them into 3 - but only in the new route for the female protagonist.
...which is one of the reasons I prefer the portable version and the female route of P3. You actually have social links to all your teammates (including Koromaru), male and female.
For some reasons I can’t star your great post, but yeah, even if there is some overlap, romance visual novels and dating sims (which I often call “stat raisers”) are not the same thing. I find most dating sims rather boring, but I like romance visual novels.
I don’t know, going from “romance visual novels for women are popular” to “women are choosing virtual boyfriends over real ones” seems a bit of a stretch to me. The majority of otome visual novels are not that different from romance novels, movies or shoujo manga (the biggest difference is that you have several routes…
It was a pleasant surprise for me - nice story that has more than just kissing, nice drama, and I actually liked all the love interests (you can basically date yourself through the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen). Otome VNs sometimes have really questionable routes (looking at you, dog cage guy in Amnesia).
I’m even more surprised to see Code: Realize there. I mean, I loved it, but I love kitschy romances in every form and especially otome VNs (and this one had nearly no uncomfortable scenes!).
