This is the cars plan to take over - all of the important bits of the car are in that mattress sized zone. The Model S was just doing its part to remove the unneccessary human occupation zone.

My first car was also a Maxima, a 92. Just laid the thing to rest last summer. Always have my eye out for a clean one with a 5spd, so much so that if I see one in a parking lot that looks nice I take a peak in the window.
