Ryan, I know this isn’t on you, but why would I want to hear an auto playing video about How Elizabeth Hurley’s Magical Arrival Steps Up Runaways’ Game on an article about fucking space?

Stop the auto-play videos with sound already, I’m going to complain in every comment.

Can you guys ask the venture capitalists to make articles take up less space? It’s kind of hard for me to watch both of the “recent videos” that started playing in two separate places when I’ve got four or five lines of text distracting me.

Get rid of these damned autoplay videos with sound!

What’s important to me is being able to open an article in Jalopnik without a video autoplaying.

I know that not everyone understands what this means, because not everyone does software for a living, or understands how the hardware works.

I’m glad they did the experiment. Yes, it didn’t work, but that’s why it was an experiment. Some limitations were known - efficiency, sub-optimal sunlight, etc. Many of the variables were unknown - resin durability, tire noise, etc. The test was conducted, results derived. This is a win IMO.

Maybe call a computer guy to take a look.
