I was an old E3 attendant (as press, so this focuses mainly on that) during my college days (saw release of GCN, DS, etc.). I doubt that much has changed except that the swag isn’t as good (seriously, snagged an XBox S controller after their presentation one year, it was in the gimmie bag). I’m also a veteran

My immediate go-to would be the Subaru WRX STI (branding might be slightly different in recent years). They finally upped the interior to something a bit more “adult” in quality and aesthetic, but the baby swallowing hood scoop, the massive wing, all scream awesome to the kid (and the kid in you). Plenty of power, all

I just did a trip up PCH in my trusty Subaru wagon (03 wrx, decently modded) with a Thule cargo carrier up top. It was spectacular. Otherwise, how about a Honda Element with decent beach tires? That’s long been a fantasy car for me and my strange tastes. Maybe a Subaru Baja?

I got the Hori stand for multiple angles a few weeks back. I play tablet mode in the stand, but with the Pro Controller. I play a couple times until the battery wears down, then charge it for the next day. I would probably hook it up to my TV, but I’m out of HDMI ports atm.

Would you trust putting the mouth of a bottle you’re going to drink from ANYWHERE near everything you’ve ever walked over? These are cool in principle, but take 10 seconds to think about where your footwear has been...

I actually picked this up the last time I saw it on deals (I believe I paid $18). It’s VERY light, the material VERY thin, to the point where I wasn’t sure how it would hold up to my 220lb frame. Took it to the park and was pleasantly surprised. As a solo rig, it did fine for an hour + of hanging out, with no issues.

I used to run all the time, then a year and a half ago I ruptured my posterior tibial tendon. My surgery was a year ago, yesterday. I haven’t run more than 10 yards since. It sucks. Mostly it’s because my heel has never felt “right” after the calcaneal osteotomy where they sawed off my heel and shifted it over a

I just recovered from one of the nastier stomach bugs I’ve gotten. First suspect was the shrimp fried rice at work (something didn’t seem right, stopped after the 2nd bite), but it honestly could have been something earlier. Either way, woke up Wed morning at 5 to puke. Called in the next 2 days, had my weekend,

I was doing really well, up $700 in video poker, and saved an additional $1000 from work by not going out. Of course now I need to replace the turbo inlet hose on my car and all the associated labor and parts costs, so it’s mostly going back into transportation.

I was reading an article in the most recent Men’s Journal about the “most adventurous people in the world” with top haunches like Branson, etc. I guarantee you that NONE of them would do this and that article I read was dead wrong mumbo jumbo. Solid writing on a unique adventure.

With everyone else mentioning Super Mario RPG (rightfully so), what I noticed were a drought of sports games beyond the fighting genre. I spent most of my SNES days on RPG’s, but I’d be lying if I didn’t complete a full season on NHL Stanley Cup and shove-steal every possession I could on NBA Jam.

1) Pay attention to how someone parks their car. Terrible drivers park at poor angles, in spots sized incorrectly for their vehicle (SUV’s in compact spaces, coupes double parked or so close to the line that they are basically taking up 2 spots). People who park in handicap spots and are willing to wait and block an

Off to the Tree of Shame for you!

Sprewell was a nut, but I don’t think anyone could blame him. Carlesimo wasn’t worth his weight in tin.

I’m just happy that a team I’ve been following for the last 20+ years (started when Webber was drafted out of Michigan) has not only become good, but one of the greats. I can rock my Starter jacket and my Sprewell/Mullin jerseys and no one can call me a bandwagon guy. Especially those who jumped ship from LA.

I decided not to become a teacher here (was a sub for just shy of 3 years, the back end of which was long-term) because of absolute bullshit like this. Average class size for a public school in Las Vegas is now in the 30's. It’s difficult enough to corral 20 young minds who would rather be on youtube, 25 is nigh

A couple, but they really don’t hold a candle to a few out there.

Ouch, what a pain in the ass.

So, at which point do I ebay my GSW Starter jacket for the most $$?

I did a full back in ‘07. Half-assed the training (at best 12 miles, most training runs were 8-10). I had done several Sprint and one Half-Ironman Triathalons a couple years prior, so I was mentally prepared. Moreso than physically. I ran the first 24 miles in under 3 hours. The last 2.2 took another hour and a half.
