I've been watching way too much of this FXX Simpsons marathon.

Yes, but that is my point. That the hard core victim blamers will still do it could very well serve to make a lot of people who don't mean to victim blame but do it anyway realize that hey, victim blaming really is a thing. Because it will be SO FUCKING OBVIOUS.

One reason they wouldn't be vegetarian is because they most probably contain rennet. Rennet is the gastric juices from an un-weaned calf's stomach. Very few cheeses use vegetarian rennet.

Stories slip through sometimes. It's difficult to keep track of which sites have run what at all times, and things are GOING to get repeated — people who want to complain about that are just looking for things to find fault with. As for why it's here now, the AP ran a story on it including the follow-up information

Amish romantic novel: they met with village present for the 1st time. She looked into his eyes, he looked into her eyes, marriage that is.

I never thought I would live long enough to see a crop-dusting shark. #Sharkduster

That's a good point, actually. If I had two jars of white crystallized substances on the counter I would probably think one was sugar and the other salt. Not one was sugar and the other one lye.

I was going to say this. I live in one of the many areas of the US that has a healthcare shortage and I always have to laugh when people go on about the long waits in Canada. I have to wait about 2 months just to see my GP, and forget about seeing a specialist unless you're dying. Our system is certainly not immune

I mean, they're not entirely wrong about the wait times. I work in an orthopaedic outpatient clinic, and while people get appointments to be seen within a matter of days (rare, but broken bones don't wait) they are guaranteed to sit and wait for two to three hours to be seen. Nobody is a fan of that. Appointments for

I don't even want to go to another country with better health care than ours (guess I'm not leaving America?) unless I'm moving there. I don't even want that kind of anger.

So.....yeah.....MeganRivera didn't say a single word about making her religious ideas into "political policy" (is that an actual thing that people say?) or that politics should be "dependent on religion". I'm thinking you might be super duper extra sensitive here.

What a coincidence. She would never befriend someone who is entirely devoid of human compassion! I know I couldn't spend time around someone like that without getting depressed and losing all hope for humanity!

Sure. They bake it before they fry it.

While working as a cashier at a gas station, I immediately lost weight because I was running around all the time, lifting things, moving things, running across the lot, etc. But I no longer had time to cook myself a decent meal - I ended up eating a lot of snacks from the gas station instead of meals, ordering a pizza

The relationship between poverty and weight is a vital yet often downplayed aspect of the "obesity epidemic." Poor people have less nutritious food in their neighborhood stores (if they have stores at all), less money to buy it, less time to cook it, and less access to preventive medical care. But the fact that

What are you dubbing "bull fucking shit?" The mental burden of poverty? The popularity of quick fixes? Or the idea that weight loss can be difficult when poor even if jump ropes are going for the low, low price of $5 in your area?

The way my mom puts it, "The two dollars isn't going to make or break us."

This is similar to the lottery. Poverty + lack of fair opportunities to escape = tax on the mathematically uneducated
