Williams, who didn’t even start” you do understand that he’s been a 6th man for much of his career and that he recently became the all-time leading scorer off the bench in NBA history? I get that maybe you wrote this with the casual fan in mind but maybe replace “who didn’t even start” with “probable 6th man of the

But give Puyol credit: he converted from right back to center back and became one of the world’s best. Pique was always a center back (even if he not so secretly would like to be a forward).

I don’t think anyone would argue with that. Puyol himself has said Pique is a better player. However, Pique rubs a lot of people the wrong way, teammates included. And, for what it’s worth, does not have the statement goals Puyol has (although that doesn’t take anything away from Pique’s defensive brilliance).

So basically he won’t be playing in the playoffs. Sucks because that potential Celtics-Bucks rematch could have been interesting. Good news is we’ll probably see more of Terry Rozier!

Bledsoe has also been excellent this year. Give the man some credit. He came back from that playoff debacle to have the best season of his career. We still need to wait and see how Bledsoe reacts to the pressure this year, but I think this attitude has something to do with his fearless (and successful) play.

It was fucking stupid when the Wolves gave it to him, and, remarkably, the contract looks even worse now. Minnesota is NEVER moving that contract unless it’s the final year of the deal and some team is desperate to shed salary and accepts Wiggins’ expiring contract. I still wonder what would have happened had the

Mmm not this year. Embiid has been on another level. Kawhi’s coasting has cost him some of his rep. He still has the ability but he hasn't played up to the level he was at 2 years ago. 75% Kawhi is still great, just not 2nd best player in the East great. I'm still curious to see if we get 2016-2017 Kawhi in the

I see what you’re saying, I just think PG has played at an MVP level on both sides. Granted, Harden has had to do it by himself for the most part which puts more preasure on him every night to not only deliver, but deliver big.

Agreed on Giannis but I think if the Thunder finish ahead of the Rockets and George keeps killing it, I think a lot of people would vote for him over Harden. I see PG as the MVP runner up right now, and he’s been doing it on both ends this year. For me, he’s the best two way player in the league right now. Kawhi is

So we’re applauding the guy for taking matches off, knowing they weren’t going to win the league so that he could score more goals in the Champions League. Bravo! Either way, Messi scored more goals in his domestic league than any other player in Europe. You said he couldn’t score a “crapload” of goals anymore because

So how do you reconcile the fact that he won the Golden boot LAST YEAR with those less than top-class players?

Definitely. It was a way for teams to keep the players that they drafted (successfully) or at least a away for them to not have to panic when their rookie deals expired. It was also a big, guaranteed chunk of change for players in just a single year. I think it was meant to be more of a bargaining tool but I’d like to

Everybody saw this coming except for, apparently, the Bulls. Parker was just looking for a payday and Chicago, like they did with Zach LaVine, threw money at a player that wasn’t going to said salary anywhere else. Oh well.

Shit, forgot about Kuzma somehow...been at the office too long. It still wouldn’t be enough for me. What’s Kuzma’s ceiling? You think he ever becomes even al all-star? I see him as a very good complementary player, much like Ingram unless Ingram takes the leap, and Hart could turn into another good role player. None

Reality? Messi, Ronaldo, Suarez, Neymar, Agüero, De Bruyne, Modric, Lewandowski, Mbappe, Cavani, Coutinho, Bale, Wilian, Isco, David Silva, Hazard, Kane, Alexis Sanchez, Griezmann, Salah. Tell me who you take off that list for Dybala. These are just the attacking guys I’d put in front of him.

What do the Lakers have that would be of real interest to the Spurs? Ingram maybe, but he seems like a guy who will never take that next step. Ball has the tools to be a Jason Kidd type player but comes with tons of baggage and still needs a lot of work. Do Ingram + Ball have near equal value to Kawhi? I don’t think

Serie A is maybe the 3rd best league in Europe, though you could certainly argue the Bundesliga is better. Doing well for the obvious best team in Serie A is not that impressive to me. Immobile was the league’s top scorer, and when he played for Sevilla he was average. Now in Lazio he’s a star.

Firstly, Argentina would have to have a system in which to fit Messi and Dybala (they don’t because Sampaoli is an idiot). Secondly, Dybala crumbles in big games, so I’d rather have someone else out there than him getting double yellowed because he’s having a shit game. He’s even come out and said he has trouble

Who else is top 20 on that squad? You could argue Dybala, but then you’d have to show me a big match in which he actually played well, and then I’d say he’s still far away from being a top 20 player in the world.
