Hey everybody, just wanted to say thanks for all the awesome and insightful comments these past six columns. We're taking a break until the January, where we'll finish off the main part of the series. I keep learning new, interesting stuff from you all, so I'm super excited to pick back up.

Yes, there are some important differences, but in many cases they go hand in hand. One might assume that they'd

Yes it is my time (well, sort of, I'd read volumes 1-5 before we started the column). Good to know about Destruction (but still, from memory, he doesn't particularly resemble a Grecian warrior to me…he looks about 500 years to late…)

At first glance I also think of him/her as a woman, and I'm inclined to agree with you that to our western eyes most things that are desirable are feminine (thus Desire is more feminine than masculine). Anyone else have thoughts on this? I'd love to get a general sense of where people are on Desire's looks.

You make some wonderful points. What I also find interesting is that we so often equate Dream and Desire in typical conversation. "Follow your dreams!" really means "Do what you desire to do!" And Freud of course says that all dreams are wish-fulfillment, so all dreams are, in some way, the visualization/manifestation

I love how he renders Desire powerless. I've come to hate that character more and more (which I'm assuming is part of Gaiman's plan), so seeing someone s/he can't manipulate is such a wonderful treat.

If there's enough reader support for it, I'd love to do it, but provisionally it'll just be the first 10. Badger Tasha and Keith about doing more!

We'll be doing the main run (up to The Wake, not the side stuff with Death, etc.).

I totally agree. Killing someone is substantially different than creating a situation where they are the reason for their own demise, and the latter is far preferable to someone like Lucifer. Maybe he knows what will happen far down the line, maybe he doesn't, but he's clearly aware that by giving Morpheus the key

I'm with you. For a lot of these first few volumes - not all, there are some really beautiful ones - I felt like the art looked really dated to me (as in, "wow, this stuff was obviously made in the 80s," which is not my preferred aesthetic). That being said, the changing of the artists is a nice corrective, and fits
