Just over 6 months of no contact with my mom and it’s been GLORIOUS. There was a final straw, and then subsequent behavior towards myself, my family and others that only reinforces my decision. Solidarity hugs. It’s hard, but it’s worth it.

This is a very good point. Also, do you mind my asking if you had contracted parvovirus? I had an RA scare when I got parvo B19 (apparently you can contract it from children, and there are a lot of kids in my family). I was on prednisone for almost 6 weeks to bring the inflammation down and it was hell.

My co-worker went to Howlin’ Ray’s and said the chicken was excellent. I’m going to try it next weekend.

I have 0 kids myself, but I have 7 nephews and nieces, and the playpen I bought for them has come in handy more times than I can count.
