I can’t say I’m surprised. Car company founders are notorious megalomaniacs. Still, “Honda is variously reported to have tossed a geisha out a second-story window...” sounds like it came out of a game of telephone, the kind of corporate gossip that gets tossed out at company holiday parties and embellished year over

Fucking hypocrites. Like any fake libertarian (almost all of them), when they say ‘free’ they mean ‘free for me, not for you’. These fragile snowflakes would be the first to scream bloody murder if Twitter actually allowed completely unfiltered free speech against them. They just (correctly) think Musk would tilt it

As someone who’s owned both, the appeal of the G8/SS to me has always been “powerful V8 engine + cavernous rear seat for passengers”.

A manual-shift U-Haul or any rental truck is the definite device of torture for any glutton of punishment. Big chassis, wimpy engine, stick shift, and a giant blind spot behind your head. What’s not to like here?

I don’t think there have been any actual legislative ICE bans. Newsom in CA signed an order, but that doesn’t really bind anyone past his term in office. (It doesn’t even bind him, except to the point of him looking bad if he reneged on it)

What sort of “niche credibility” is the world’s largest automaker trying to preserve?

It’s not at all surprising that Toyota’s ordering/allocation system is set up to be friendlier to the factory than to the dealers or customers, what is pleasantly surprising is that more automakers aren’t this way.

Can we also finally admit that Kate McKinnon, although very talented, might be a tad overrated versus a criminally underrated and far more versatile Cecily Strong? Kate’s Fauci and Giuliani impressions sound exactly alike, with neither sounding anything remotely like the men she’s supposedly imitating. And on that

Yes. This is just a fuck you charge to prevent it from actually happening.

225 a month? Aren’t electricity meters to measure (and pay for) energy usage mandatory in the USA?

It took some wild mental gymnastics — including just making shit up — for the police could find a way to blame a kid killed by such a driver, but they got there.”

the law certainly does little to back up bike riders

IMHO, Musk has absolutely no desire to own Twitter. He’s running one of the oldest scams there is - buy a minority stake in the company; make a lot of noise about buying the whole company and firing all the leadership because reasons; force the company to buy out your stake at a hefty profit.

Current stats show a increase over the last 2 weeks. However when are they dropping the negative test for US entry for ALL passengers masked or not. Vaccinated or NOT?

Or go ahead and fly. It’s not exactly that big of a deal, and people really aren’t even paying much attention anymore.

Ugh, headache and eyestrain and ugly oh my.

Saving graces: the wheels are mostly black and it’s an EV. With regenerative braking, brake dust is less likely to be produced and will be less visible when it does accumulate.

We’re calling it the Busy Forks.  It will never be “Beyond Zero 4x” to me.  What a bunch of marketing wank.

But oof, what a name. This would be a good example of leveraging brand recognition to sell a new EV. Just call it the Rav-E. Or E-Rav. Who cares if it’s not even the same platform as the Rav-4. Use the name, sell the cars. (Just don’t pull a ford and try to call it the Supra-E).

Lol, no it isn’t “unfair”. Tesla showed this at a semi-public event and let people record it. How is that unfair?
