RE: #12 EVs/Everything... They're still cars with suspension, powertrains, interiors, complex electronics and even coolant pumps. There's less to break but it's still a car you will have to take care of, unless you're one of those people who buys a new car every 3 years.

The report on this in the Guardian (UK Newspaper) had a quote from cop saying that the penalty for driving without a license is six points on your license - and I think that says a lot about the legal system and logical cop thinking in the UK.

That’s a cheap shot, especially when you consider that the battery fires didn’t become an issue until the 2019 model year, when LG relocated production. Almost all of the fires are among ‘19 models, with only a few among ‘17-’18s and none at all in ‘20 models and up.

It’s vertical intgration, alright, because nearly every carmaker in the world keeps certain parts of the parts and processes to themselves: namely, powertrains.
