Well, since Trump’s attempt to “unite” national standards was really an attempt to wind back critical engineering improvements to help out the oil industry, I strongly suspect that those carmakers who signed up with him were only doing so to keep on the good side of a famously petulant and vindictive president. You almost had me for a moment there.

It is built in Japan to Japanese safety standards.

It is not a kei car.

It is probably fine.

Daihatsu crash ratings seem basically fine. It’s got the engineering weight of Toyota behind it, they know what they’re doing.

At the time, VW is like one plant and one product. That’s like someone passing up getting Tesla for free in 2009 with the Roadster and the Fremont plant.

This needs more stars, post haste.

I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say that you’re not going to get a grand for those wheels and tires.

You can do your what in your car?!...OOOHHH....Truckin’, you said truckin’....Got it.

Michigan is going to skull fuck itself out of future automotive investment if it plays hardball here and will deserve every bit of the backlash it gets.

The ol’ “It was a joke!” story. This guy’s stand-up routine ain’t worth the two-drink minimum. But seriously folks...this guy needs to be prosecuted! And what’s the deal with fascist voter fraud schemes, amirite? Heyooooo!

Shyster needs to be disbarred at the least and prosecuted and convicted from RICO/racketeering.

Except it’s not Sergio Marchionne.

In all honesty Toyota is probably the least EV ready of the large manufacturers though. If they want to go in hard on EVs it could be quite beneficial. A Tesla drivetrain wrapped in a Lexus would be a pretty awesome thing.

Mitsubishi was my first choice but there actually is lot of business sense in it. They’ve actually made small cheap electric cars, have good brand overseas and have large industrial might in other markets.

The Void of Darkness is where all the fun cars ended up. We’ve been trying to get them out of there for years...

I like how its totally covered in truck bed liner for that rugged look.

"Jason Segel would have killed me."
