I’ve noticed that’s a problem with only one window being open at highway speeds, especially a back one. Next time your kid does that, open yours too - an inch should be enough - and the airflow through the car will be much smoother.

I keep saying Elonites make me glad the natural-born citizen clause of Article 2 exists.

“Real artists ship.” -- Steve Jobs

A scene from the long-lost 1960s French precursor to Stranger Things.

This is where manual fore-aft sliders come into their own. Power seats move back and forth in their own (slow) time, manual ones go as quick as you push or pull them.

I always thought if Ford were thinking ahead a bit they could’ve based the Ranchero on the Skyliner. With the top welded in place and the rear panel made into a tailgate, it would’ve had a respectable-size pickup box. A two-door hardtop crewcab!

For some reason now I just flashed on Stephen Colbert’s old “Report” character from his Comedy Central show, and how he’d put up a picture of himself mugging it up with his (usually stone-faced, often blatantly photoshopped) “some of my best friends are black”.

Remember the Bowling Green Massacre!

It’s a one-year-only color from 1976, replaced for ‘77 by metallic lime green. They even recolored the very same picture for reuse in the ‘77 brochure. That was the last year for the Beetle sedan in the US.

This would be more interesting, if slower-accelerating, if it was the other Bernie.

Even before that, more jobs were added in the spring than we’ve been told. Ever wonder what “Seasonally Adjusted” means? It means that that “disappointing” 300,000-jobs month back in April that set off this wave of cutting off benefits was really a million jobs added, it’s just that a lot of jobs start up in the

Why keep the military Mite rear suspension at all if you’re ditching the 4wd? Go to a simple beam axle and you not only cut a huge amount of cost out but can put the wheelbase wherever it needs to be for styling, handling balance,  and rear-seat/cargo room compromise. You lose the inboard brakes but I’d be inclined to

Because the Old Orange One himself is clearly fading fast and is a ready candidate for a skeezy conservatorship run by his rat-fink kids.

Those are actually the stock Silverado W/T wheels painted white instead of silver.

It wasn’t a luxury option, it was a model-year variation. The silver-grilled Yugos with the all-caps “Yugo” emblems are from the last year or so they were imported to the US.

We ... believe it is appropriate to judge members of Congress solely based on their votes *opposing right-to-repair laws.*”

Light-toned headliners. Not only have we lost all interior color choices other than black since the ‘90s, but now it’s been decreed that everything even slightly sporty-ish must have a black headliner to complete the coal-hole effect (I’m looking at YOU, Civic and Corolla hatchbacks).

Doesn’t matter, whether he goes to Harvard-Westlake or LAUSD, if he’s going to school where he lives in California he’ll be registered without a title. We don’t use titles in America and the school computer system doesn’t have space for them.

Checker Marathon, the car the Trabant 601 wanted to be when it grew up;

See, I like the shorter rear overhang. In fact I’d say this was the model that was designed first and the sedan adapted from it rather than the other way around.
