Front seat headrests weren’t required in trucks until 1991. Even Chrysler minivans held them out for higher trim levels. This despite having been required in cars since 1968 or ‘69.

Honda HR-V, the dumber, costlier, more overstyled Fit that usurped the original from the US market. All that was really needed was some plastic cladding.
Nader didn’t kill the Corvair, Lee Iacocca did. The secondgen launched for model year ‘65 in the midst of Mustang Mania. That pretty much meant V8s and conventional engineering were what the public wanted in a sporty compact, and GM had already committed not to put any more money into the Corvair program and begun a…
The propaganda that is the only “news” source they don’t instantly dismiss as “Fake News” insisted from the start as reading it as “(only) Black Lives Matter”, not “Black Lives Matter (too)“ as it was always intended. I’m a middle-aged white guy and I don’t get this but I never fell down the rightwing media rabbit…
They *should* have made Chuck Jordan head of design when Mitchell retired but they went with Irv Rybicki instead because the boardroom and C-suite wanted an easy life.
Unfortunately a lot of parts became obsolete when Radio Shack went under.
It’s amazing what they did with early ‘80s tech. I think the KITT and KARR prototypes were both Iron Duke/THM125 powered, at that.

McDonalds’ FRIED apple and cherry pies. They were replaced by the baked ones sometime in the ‘9os on one of those “fried food bad” health kicks - like anyone with a brain would mistake a fast-food dessert for health food! The crispy, bubbly crust was really great, and iirc they’d drop them in the deep fryer to order…

The mouse crap became a structural member.
It really looks like the preview of the RAV4's midcycle refresh.
Which I ironically had to buy in silver to get one with a manual. I’d love either of those blue-greens, but not enough to pay good money for a CVT.
“On a refrigerated truck, that backhaul load may not require refrigeration...”
Counterpoint; Automatics - ALL torque-converter-and-planetary-gearset ones, almost all CVTs and even DCTs as they’re currently configured - are terribly ill-behaved. They commit the worst sin a car can - they move the car on their own with your foot off the gas pedal. The dreaded, aptly named “creep”.
As someone at the other end, working in the grocery store itself, I just wish our app didn’t have the “select a location” function as a popup of the sort people have been trained by nuisance ads to dismiss without a look or thought, defaulting to a store two states away near corporate headquarters and damn near…
It’s actually pretty well optioned-up, a hardtop with vinyl roof, Light Package and full wheel covers. Probably a 318 2-barrel, with Torqueflite of course.
