I had a 64 falcon with a solid steel dash. Not sure here, but 3 point belts should be a must

You need to get on an mg forum. Keeping MG hydraulics going means the right fluid and maintenance

Should have said they had a color expert

Jalopnik had an article some time back where they said that customers didn’t want colors and more. I guess if the “customer” is the dealership, that’s right. But they endless shades of meh available in modern cars keeps me out of the dealership. Mazda? Call me when I can get a 3 grand touring in BRG with tan leather

The fact this is being hidden tells me it's days are numbered. When NPOND and David Tracy go, I'm gone too.

Is Nice Price a secret club now? Doesn’t appear on the page at all any more, and no link.   Is it being de-emphasized? Or am I missing something? If you came to the site and didn’t know about NPOND, you’d never know about it.

I have to wonder if the blade actually exited the front of the engine. Those blades are providing a lot of thrust and if the rupture started at the back, the blade shot out the front, free of containment.

Um, you're going to need a bigger welder. Maybe time for an argon bottle. I'll be interested in your recommendations.  Good luck and Godspeed!

The more likely scenario is a Korean brand shows up and JD is out on their ass before they realize how badly they screwed themselves. That’s capitalism baby.

A lot of Southern homes are built on slabs, so pipes run through the concrete foundation rather than through the rafters of the basement common on Northern homes. And if the sides of the slabs aren’t insulated (most aren’t), then this kind of cold freezes up the pipes (which is going to be messy when all those modern p

I'd say the cases where someone was impressed by a car are few. Depressed and no second date? Pretty common.

It's not just lack of driving experience. Most southern cities literally don't have salt stockpiled. You get a bit of sand. I'd say many northerners would be clueless driving on unsalted roads.

VW Snowflakes

Hold on a sec. You have a functional Freelander?

Career design engineer here. A Japanese engineer asks: "Is it simple and reliable?" An american engineer asks: "is it cheap?"  A German engineer asks: " is it cool?". German engineers are great at designing something that lasts through the warranty period. Because the person buying the used car doesn't make them money.

Keep talking crazy like that, and next thing you'll be wanting actual paint colors that aren't neutrals

The Merkur xr4Ti of the time used the same engine w/o an intercooler. And hatchback and no velour seats.

One of the most interesting sets of comments I’ve read. This article gets to the heart of being a Jalop. Here’s what I’ve told my kids about cars and wrenching:

Did I write this? I don't remember. I also had an 84GS. Bought for $500 cause the TPS needed recalibrated, with 185k. Everything you said is true; one of my favorite cars.

The prices of the old RX-7's have gone nuts, but if you want a light, flingable, simple sports car, this is a great example. IMO, the one to get is an 84 or 85 GS. No fuel injection with leaky injectors to dilute the oil. Yes, carbureted still in ‘85. I had an ‘84 that was still going strong at 185k. When they added
