Speaking as a black man (and for myself, obviously), I completely and immediately understood the point he claimed they were trying to get across by comparing the packing of slave ships to Tetris from just the Twitter screenshot for the article.

I should mention that at no point do I think hurling invective at the developers for this miscalculation is productive. They had good intentions; now it’s time for them to listen, internalize, and do better.

Good intentions pave the road to hell etc etc etc but what matters here is that Slave Tetris is super tasteless.
