@NitrousO: Bingo, its Cousin Oliver Syndrome apparently after the character of the same name from the Brady Bunch.

Am I the only one who doesn't actually like that new character. Seems like when a dying TV show tries to reinvigorate itself by adding a cute child (not that Tales is in anyway dying). There is a name for that sort of phenomenon but I can't remember it.
