Back in The TAY: NES Classic Accessories
Similar to the success of the original NES, third party companies couldn’t wait to jump on to the hype train Nintendo built with their little beauty. Controller, after controller, after controller have swarmed the market for the love letter to many gamer’s childhood, and a lot of them are just... Terrible. They just…
Back in The TAY: NES Classic Edition
Hello all, and welcome back to the newest (and long overdue) “Back in the TAY”, where I venture back to yesteryear and play through some games of our childhood. This weeks review is a double hitter; not only is it the first console I ever played growing up, but it is also a rare treat to come across in the wild. I…
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare: The Nitro Review "May the power of Spacey compel you!!"
It's that time of year boys in girls; the air begins to get cold, the trees begin to change, and our yearly release of Call of Duty has arrived. While it may have been getting stale of the last 3 to 4 iterations, Activision and Sledgehammer have really raised the stakes with this one. Not only is it in the future,…
Freedom Wars: The Nitro Review "Phantasy Lords of God Hunter Burst Freedom Unite"
It has been a while since I had a good game to play on my Vita, and have used it mostly for the Remote Play functionality and old PSone games (finally trying to beat FFIX), but it hasn't been receiving the love it was used to. I poured hours into Person 4, as well as Ninja Gaiden Sigma 1 and 2, plus the countless…
Capcom to release Mega Man X4 and X5 on PSN in September.
Not sure if anyone else has heard/read this yet, but Capcom announced releases of both X titles as PSOne classics for PS3/PSP/Vita devices. Mega Man X4 is slated for Sept. 2nd, and X5 following on the 9th. The news can be found on Polygon.
The Writers TAYble: Entry #4 "What goes bump in the night"
Hello all, and welcome back to the Writers TAYble! I was a bit under the weather yesterday, so excuse my absence. How has everyone been? Staying busy with current works? Hit that imaginary wall in your writing? Come and take a load off!
(Not so) Back in The TAY Review: Rogue Legacy
Rogue Legacy is an interesting basket. On one hand, you have this incredibly difficult title that is a love child of Dark Souls and Ghosts n' Goblins that will bring you to the point of a stroke. The other hand, it is a beautifully melded title that takes what we love most about RPG's, and adds its own spice of…
The Writers TAYble: Entry #3 "Paint the City Red"
Hello my fellow TAYers, and welcome to yet another entry to the Writer's TAYble. Come, take a seat, and share a bit of your work with us. Last week, we talked a bit about setting, and had some amazing pieces submitted! You can recap a bit here, if you so desire. Tonight's concept art is from a Finnish artist named…
Leaked Destiny Information: Real or Poppycock?
Our good friends at Reddit have "acquired" a list of supposed information from the final version of Destiny. As reported on IGN, the main story will consist of 32 missions, and 23 of them being known at this moment. You will begin on Earth, and thus make your progress to the Moon, then to The Reef (which is the…
A Legend is Reborn: Tomb Raider Definitive Edition
Our girl Lara has been on a crazy journey, hasn't she? Starting out as a pixelated female version of Indiana Jones, Lara Croft was introduced to us in 1996 on the PC, and brought an interesting twist to normal adventure games. Expansive 3D caves, winding passages, thought provoking puzzles, all mixed with the…
