Heather (and the rest of Kotaku’s staff):

To play the game, you need to buy a Nintendo Switch, a copy of the game, have a monitor to play it on, and access to an internet connection for matches.

Weird article, since everything in it could’ve been said of the original Splatoon.

Now playing

This is my preferred way to do it. Keeps the ship in a more stable position.

You could just display it in your house ;)

See, I always just assumed that each Zelda game was effectively a reboot from a story perspective and that they all stood alone with no connections to any other Zelda (with a few exceptions like Majora’s Mask). To me trying to fit all of them into one Timeline is like trying to sort all of Hawkman’s backstories into

Ah. I can toggle in the Switch OS menu. I thought I had to do it in game.

Depends..? It only “depends” if you assume the Switch will sell as poorly as the WiiU did. The volume of Switchs available at launch has nothing to do with the overall sales figures of a game. Not to mention countless WiiUs will be abandoned in closets when people upgrade to the Switch.

Yep. For bigger games the embargos are so that review outlets will be able to spend longer with the game instead of trying to rush through it and be the first outlet to post a review. Obviously the publishers are doing the embargo so that they get better press out of it, but not all embargos are clearly slimey where

Yeah, I think it cases like this the embargo is more to try and give all the news outlets equal opertunity. That way all the traffic doesn’t just go to whatever place managed to get their unit first. It should give everyone a chance to get it, prep their reviews and have them all come out at the same time.

As Nitpicker_Yellow said, I think the problem is less with remakes than the fact that certain companies (*coughSqueenixcough*) will tease, talk about--and sometimes deny rumors they’ve leaked themselves—of said remakes for years on end, whilst feeding their fanbase a steady trickle of tertiary merchandise (Advent

I bought a key from G2A, it got revoked from my account since it was bought through credit card fraud.

Kotaku has a grudge against them because PA criticizes them and so Kotaku picks their worst comics to post on here to make people think they’re bad. It’s really messed up.

While the fastest run is 1:42:48, I’m a lot more impressed with the 1:44:41 run that was done in a fresh new game, no new game+ bonuses.

Man it’s fucking disheartening to see so many “We have no answer at this time” responses when this console hits shelves in less then 2 months.

He’s loving his “50-something year old-man” role.

SHIT.

I worked in returns for Target- I guarantee this is because someone swapped the discs and then returned it. The returns department is absolutely underpaid and overworked, so that kind of stuff happened often. We had entire tvs just walk out the door because our backroom would fail to document them correctly. Target
