It's "not for adults" the same way current Pixar and Disney movies are "not for adults" if you ask me. I've never seen a good argument separating the current incarnation of the series from those shows other than reputation and budget, so I simply must chalk this kind of reaction up to sexism.

At least that's how I'd relate the letter grades to what I'm more conventionally used to from animation and anime sites. They seem to curve around a B, like a lot of colleges these days.

I wouldn't say the show itself really gets mocked in FiW. It's more of an adult-humor show (crazy absurdism, screwed up characters) using FiM's excellent animation assets.
